Arrow consisting of a long cylindrical wooden shaft with one notched end and a metal point at the other, secured with wrapped sinew. The triangular point has a double notched base and a narrow stem. At the midpoint of the metal stem has an oval hole. String is tied around stem where stem enters the shaft. At opposite end of shaft are two strips of feather secured by wrapped sinew. Red pigment, possibly ochre, is present on the basal end. The basal end of the shaft is notched.
Rectangular, flared, coiled root basket (bifurcated stitches). Elongated watch-spring construction. Imbricated rows of alternating red and dark cherry bark and grass imbrication, however the grass is mostly broken away from the surface. Cotton string attached to rim of one corner, jute cord attached to rim of 3 other corners. Remnants of hide loops attached to long sides of basket.
Coiled rectangular lid. Handle in centre of lid has string foundation and was wrapped with grass. Grass is partly detached from foundation. Rim of lid has cedar bark foundation with wrapped grass intertwined. Only one corner has rim decoration, remainder has broken off. Top of lid has red and black cherry bark and grass imbrication in arrowhead geometrical design.
A bundle originally wrapped in bark (part a) (now fragmented). Contains two river pebbles (parts b-c) rubbed with red ochre, a string of cassowary feathers about 42 cm. long (part d), a length of cotton cord, (part e) on which, there are threaded small fibre balls and at the end of which, there is a 3 cm. long strip of red cloth, one fossil (part f) and two pieces of obsidian (parts g-h).
Round, coiled basket with a foot, a handle (34.5 cm long), and a twined loop work rim. Sides and bottom are split stitches over slat foundation. Handle has bundle foundation. Foot, handle, and row below the loop work rim are beaded in red-brown. Imbricated with geometric designs of three horizontal zig zag rows with black in the middle and red-brown above and below.
Slightly sloping, rectangular, coiled basket with a foot, loop work, and split stitches over the slat foundation. Geometric imbricated design that consists of a vertical row of natural brown diamond shapes outlined by black, dark red-brown, and light yellow-brown zig zags with a black border. Black beading around the foot and dark red-brown along the rim. Handle is 42.3 cm. long and fastened to the basket with cotton.
Rectangular carrying bag with bottom of cedar slats and crisscross grass. Plain twined weaving around base and wrapped twining around body. Patten is of a wide, encircling purple band with oblique yellow and plain sections around the middle. Two narrower purple bands with yellow oblique sections around top and bottom. Rim is partly green with red cotton thread near centre.
Rectangular cloth consisting of eleven narrow strips 12 cm wide and sewn selvedge to selvedge. Stripes run the length of each strip in the same pattern. Starting at one side is a light brown-white selvedge; narrow white stripe; broad light brown-white band; narrow white; broad dark brown; narrow white; broad brown; narrow white; broad dark brown; narrow white and broad light brown-white selvedge. Creased along width at each end. Unwoven fringe at both ends is 1 cm wide. Small yellow stains overall.
Rectangular cloth of twelve narrow strips sewn together. Each strip has a band of parallel black stripes and three parallel stitch width lines of brown above. Seams are above the brown stripes.
A bundle wrapped in red trade cloth (part a), bound with rattan (part b), and containing a fossilized animal (reptile?) mandible (part c) covered with red ochre and wrapped with matted marsupial fur.
