White muslin garment with embroidery. The blouse has a deep v-neck, long cuffed sleeves and full lower half. The upper front and back have embroidered panels with a geometric pattern in red on white ground with blue and green details. On the front are four thin vertical panels flanking the v-neck. The panels have a diamond motif in red on white ground with blue details. A red zigzag border surrounds the panels and the cuffs. The bottom hem is unfinished. The inside is unlined.

Harpoon HeadE271

Iron harpoon head with a wooded, cylindrical handle wrapped with twisted cotton twine. The harpoon head has a short cylindrical body that tapers to a point; four barbs. There is circular rubber stop between the harpoon head and the handle along with a loop of heavy, twisted cord attached to the base.

Head RingA2312

Base consists of a thin wide strip of bark overlaid with seven horizontally laid wood strips. These are bound on alternative diagonal angles with a wrap of thin twisted cedar bark string. Four bundles of cedar bark are sewn onto the top edge of the ring (spaced evenly). An extra piece of bark is sewn onto one side. The inside of the ring is lined with cotton cloth.

Dance ScreenA9242

Large dance screen with black designs on natural coloured ground. The screen is made from four irregular shaped pieces sewn together. In the centre is a raven motif in profile with open beak, tongue visible, wings and legs spread. The tail appears unfinished. The motif is painted in black with a lighter, oily paint spread into the fabric beyond the black outlines.

Head Ring FrontletA8391

Cedar bark head ring with a carved frontlet of a sun figure in high relief. Frontlet has a broad white face, heavy black eyebrows, a green band painted across the eyes, and is encircled by a green ring; alternating squares of abalone shell and mirror are set into the green ring around the face. Cedar bark head ring is lined with cloth and features three large squares of abalone shell fastened to the outside at evenly spaced intervals.

Sun mask with five protruding arms representing sun rays. The mask has prominent eyebrows, slightly protruding eyes, a short recurved beak, an open mouth that comes to a peak at the centre of each lip and has downturned corners, and a rim that comes to a peak at the centre top and centre bottom. The mask is painted white with designs in red, green, yellow and black. The rim is painted with yellow, black and green scallop shapes on white. The arms are painted with designs in black, white and red and have rounded corners.

Cover of tightly knitted red string sewn over a wrapped cloth core. Fringes are made of lengths of red-brown string twined across the top and sewn onto the ring in four places that are equally spaced. Circular in shape.
