The item search helps you look through the thousands of items on the RRN and find exactly what you’re after. We’ve split the search into two parts, Results, and Search Filters. You’re in the results section right now. You can still perform “Quick searches” from the menu bar, but if you’re new to the RRN, click the Search tab above and use the exploratory search.

Carving of a sled with dog hitch. The sled (part a) is made of many individual pieces (each cross bar and each runner is a separate piece - lashed by sinew done in the way a real sled would be lashed). On top of the sled is lemming fur for a driver to sit on. Tucked under the lemming fur is a separate harpoon (part d) and a separate hitch line and toggle (part e). The driver (part b) is carved in a separate piece and has a separate rifle (part c). Attached to the front of the sled is the hitch for the dogs complete with a toggle for the attachment of each dog.
Carving of a kayak and hunter (part a). The hunter is missing his left hand; his right hand is raised. There is a loose harpoon part (part b - previously attached to the top of the kayak?), a paddle (part c), a seal float (part d), and a separate harpoon (part e). The other harpoon parts are affixed to the kayak with string line (thread), attached to the harpoon head.

Cloth and wood puppet of a male figure. Head is wood, with white face and painted eyes, brows, mouth and hair. Long mustache and beard of plastic fibres emerge. Figure wears a tunic of patchwork fabrics in blue, red, green and pink, with a stripe of shiny red around neck to waist. Under this are padded legs attached to black and white boots that show under the tunic. Arms are held outstretched, with wooden hands attached. Thumb is stationary, while fingers are able to bend and flex as a group. Puppet can be controlled by inserting hand up the back of tunic to a hole in head and spaces along arms.
Headdress made of Bird of Paradise feathers, ranging in colour from gold through bronze to dark brown, each tied to a braided band of cotton. The base of the feathers are squeezed together in sets of approximately 20 and folded over the bottom string and through two loops at the back of the braid. The braid ends in a loop on the left and a tie on the right with a small knot at the end.
