Fragment: Textile3263/1

Fragment of a mantle (shawl). Horizontal rows with designs inside of them, trimmed with patterned bands along their bottom edges, across entire surface. Overlaying, woven fringe tabs hanging from bands. The design elements along the left and right sides- the patterns, band and fringe- are dark brown and the design elements in the middle are red. Step pattern inside of the light brown horizontal rows, with wave motifs inside of them. Bands have two lines of light brown through them. The upper line has a wave motif through it, done in red, and the bottom line is plain.

Fragment: Band3263/14 a-c

Three fragments of a band from a set of matched male garments. All band fragments are pink with groupings of three stripes- dark yellow, dark blue, dark yellow- along the entire length. Stripes are trimmed in dark red. Tiered, pendant tassels hang from each band. Tassels are predominantly dark red with pink, dark blue, yellow and light green throughout. Largest fragment (part a) has three tassels; second largest fragment (part b) has two tassels; smallest fragment (part c) has one tassel.

Fragment: Bag3263/89

Adornment, or paleta, from the bottom of a coca bag. Bell shaped with gold brown background and light red-orange diamond pattern across entire surface. Three plain stripes, down the centre, on both the front and back. Concentric diamond patterns along left and right sides, done in black. Black line border along bottom edge. Small bunches of short golden brown and light red-orange fringe attached to bottom.

The cloth is rectangular, with short fringe along both short edges. The overall design is composed of zigzags, lines, repeating T-shapes, and dots. There are four main panels down the length, each divided by a zigzag and dot design, with a panel of dots down one side pushing the main design off-centre.

Legging3377/10

Single legging of woven cotton cloth covered entirely with embroidery in deep red silk with additional designs in dark blue, orange, dark green and light green silk thread. Copper(?) metal thread embroidery between each of the outer two bands of plaiting. Side with seam decorated with pounded metal discs with a simple floral mark at centre and one metal button. Backed with woven cotton cloth.

Pocket Bag3377/8

Tiny embroidered envelope bag, made by folding and stitching the edges of the rectangle together, leaving the other pointed end open as a flap. The exterior is embroidered with fine repeating diamond design in gold, burgundy, black and light green. All edges are finished with red trim. Two small tufts of green thread are attached on either side of the flap, and one yellow tuft at the point. The bag is lined with faded black textile.

Pocket Bag3377/7

Small embroidered envelope bag, made by folding and stitching three corners of a square together, leaving the fourth corner open as a flap. The exterior is embroidered with a large repeating geometric design (zigzag with arrows extending out from each corner in alternating directions) in burgundy, orange-gold and beige, and one line of black. All edges are finished with gold metallic thread. Two long pieces of thread are attached at the point of the flap. The bag is lined with a teal and red machine printed cotton textile, with a small leaf and berry pattern.
