Long, lined cape that is part of a Cantonese opera costume with 1743/1 a,b,c,d,e,g. Cape is gathered at neck and has a large round collar. Front is open and slightly rounded at bottom. There are ties at the neckline. A long slit goes from centre lower back to hem. Scattered sequin design.

Lenten Costume2743/8 a-b

Two piece costume consisting of a heavy wool hooded coat (a) and pants (b). Bands of diamond and linear designs woven in red, yellow, brown, beige, white, orange, and black wools create a striped pattern that is embellished with bands of green and red wool fringes. The coat opens at the front and closes with three brown plastic buttons. Wool leggings have been sewn onto cropped green polyester/viscose trousers with button-up fly.

The head wrap is a piece of unsewn fabric with a repeating pattern of blue flowers or pinwheel shapes in the background, and rows of red, blue and white squares with an elephant in blue outline within them, along with text in English.
