The folded hat is black and rectangular with a rounded top piece, a back flap and embroidered motifs. The hat has a black centre panel which folds inwards on both sides. Embroidered on the centre panel are pink and white peonies with green leaves and yellow swirls. These designs are repeated on the inside of both side folds. The rounded top piece has pink peonies with green leaves and orange swirls. Hanging down from the top piece on either side of the centre panel is a red streamer. On the back, the flap mimics the rounded top piece and extends down past the bottom of the folded centre panel, flaring out at the bottom. In the centre of the flap is a large pink and white peony. Surrounding the flower is a circle of gold scroll designs and pink and yellow peonies with green leaves. On the inside of the hat is ecru lining, stiffened with cardboard.

Embroidered on the centre panel are two pink peonies with green leaves and gold swirls and a pink and red bat. On the inside of both side folds is a red peony with green leaves and gold swirls. The rounded top piece has pink and red peonies with green leaves and gold swirls. The curled ends have a small purple flower and an attached maroon tassel. The designs on the back of the hat mimic those on the front. There are pink and red peonies, green leaves, gold swirls and small purple flowers. On the inside of the hat is ecru lining, stiffened with cardboard. Two ecru ties are attached.

The golden features, with added tusks, are repeated on the top piece of the back flap. Beneath the features in the centre of the flap is a large red symbol. Surrounding the symbol is a circle of pink and purple peonies, yellow scroll designs and green leaves. On the inside of the hat is ecru lining, stiffened with cardboard. Two ecru ties are attached.

White, sleeveless shirt with brown embroidery and wide bottom hem. The shirt is made with a tightly pleated upper portion and a looser pleated lower portion, creating the wide bottom hem. The shirt has a brown, linear embroidered neck hole. There are two belly pockets with embroidered access slits. Surrounding the slits are nine embroidered squares with interlocking rings. There is black and white diagonal striped lining around the inside edges of the hem and sleeves. On the back there is a large embroidered square with interlocking rings and trailing ribbons.

Sleeveless, black robe with embroidered red, yellow and white geometric designs. The robe is shaped like two squares, the smaller above the larger. The upper square is open at the sides, sewn closed along the top with a rounded neck opening. The lower square is sewn closed at the sides and open at the bottom. Around the neck opening are yellow and white bands of double helix. There is a wide border with alternating red and white lines above and below a gold double helix. The border forms a downward point beneath the neck opening. The border also runs down the sides of the upper square, between the two squares and along the bottom of the lower square. Amidst the borders are designs of hearts, squares and triangles in white and yellow.

White blouse with embroidery. The garment has a rectangular shape with a round neck and no sleeves. The upper portion of the front and back has a large red embroidered half circle. There is an abstract pattern with strands of shapes and stripes in orange, yellow, green, blue and purple on red ground. The lower portion has bird and floral motifs on white ground. Sketched motifs in green are visible. On one side ‘Juana Gomez Pascual’ is written in blue pen along the bottom edge. The inside shows the same embroidery; reversible.

Short red blouse with embroidery and woven stripe pattern. The blouse has a rectangular shape with a round neck and no sleeves. Around the neck are embroidered floral and leaf motifs. The thick stripes are vertical and composed of groups of thin white, orange, blue and green lines. The bottom edge is unfinished. The inside is unlined.

White rectangular blouse (part a) with embroidery and fringe. Beneath the v-neck, gold threads are braided in the centre and the ends hang down in a long double fringe. Embroidered down the centre and side seams are squares in red, orange, yellow, blue and green on white ground. The bottom hem is edged with multicoloured trim. The inside is unlined.

Plain white cloth with black embroidery. Central motif of ship with center pagoda and table underneath. Six people on board. Flags. Waves and creatures underneath. Tassels on either side of ship. Motifs flanking are mirror images of Pagoda with two phoenixes flying overhead. Both end motifs also mirror images of pot holding flowering and fruiting (?) plant. Small motifs of butterfly, flowering and fruiting plants. Embroidered border on all three sides of plants and geometric lines.
