The folded hat is black and rectangular with a rounded top piece, a back flap and embroidered motifs. The hat has a black centre panel which folds inwards on both sides. Embroidered on the centre panel are pink peonies with green leaves and yellow swirls. These designs are repeated on the rounded top piece and inside both side folds. Hanging down from the top piece on either side of the centre panel is a red streamer. On the back, the black flap mimics the rounded top piece and extends down past the bottom of the folded centre panel, flaring out at the bottom. In the centre of the flap is a large pink and white peony. Surrounding the flower is a circle of gold scroll designs and more pink peonies with green leaves and yellow swirls. On the inside of the hat is ecru lining, stiffened with cardboard. Two ecru ties are attached.

A cotton basket liner that has a flap. Has a conical shape with a round pointed bottom. Main part of the bag is made of hand sewn khaki-like brown cotton while the flap is made of white cotton which is attached along one side of the top. Has ten white cotton tabs and four pairs of beige ones.

Ramayana headdress composed of a green velvet covered crown (a) that has a bulbous base that narrows and then widens again to a smaller bulbous top with a gold finial. The crown is also ornamented with pieces of gold painted skin that have been cut into ornate geometric shapes, some of which protrude outwards, and these have silver sequins and clear glass beads sewn to them. The base of the crown has a band of multiple pointed pieces of gold painted skin ornamented with sequins and beads. Attached at the back of the headdress is a figure's face made from gold, red, black and white painted skin. The figure has a pointed head, fangs, protruding black hair at the base, and is also decorated with sequins and beads. There are black straps on the inside at the back for adjustment, and two yellow straps at the sides. Accompanying the headdress are the following: a triangular-shaped gold painted skin ornament (b) with sequins and beads and two curled ends to which is attached a gold cord; two gold painted skin ornaments (c and d) with curled ends, sequins and beads, as well as two hanging multicoloured tassels on each; and two gold painted skin ornaments (e and f) consisting of an ornate piece with sequins and beads, each attached at a perpendicular angle to a cross-shaped piece with yellow ties at each end.

Pair of Cantonese opera shoes with dark brown leather soles. The uppers are blue silk brocade with a floral motif in dark blue and pink and are edged with pink, black and green braid. Cotton lining and insole.

A long rectangular cream-brown fabric piece that has red, light green, dark green, and black embroidery. The embroidery has a main design consisting of three red eight-pointed star-flower-like shapes that have red fruit with dark green leaves within the points and outlined by circular mirrors with red fruit having dark green leaves overall. There is a short horizontal wavy floral patterned band in the middle at either side of the middle star-flower-like shape while the other two are partial with each having a pom pom at the centre. Border embroidery has a design consisting of a wavy floral pattern and a linear floral pattern. Both ends are embroidered with red flowers and fruits with light green leaves.

On the inside of the hat is ecru lining, stiffened with cardboard. Two ecru ties are attached.
