Carved wooden chair with an upholstered seat. Four legs are carved on three sides and topped by carved heads, two at front are animals, and two at back are human, all have abalone shell eyes. All interior surfaces of chair are carved. Backrest has carved human face at top. Designs include ovoid, circle, eye, and animal forms, combined with plant, leaves, and other design elements. Red paint and dark stain applied. Small white stones are inset into edges of chair. Brown upholstery cushion, with metal studs along base.

There are three different designs all in black on a pink ground. Written in blue pen at the top is ‘Adinkra Cloth’. The top right square has an s-shaped motif with ‘Gye Nyame’ – God’s Omnipotence noted. Below that is square with a circular motif with ‘Ram’s Horns – Strength thru wisdom’ written. The edges are raw.

Vase to left of center has ivy leaves, vase to left of center has two phoenixes. Vase at right end has fern-like leaves. Between middle three rounds are butterflies and flowering vines. Between end two rounds is table with potted flowering plant. Embroidered border on all three sides of repeating landscape of pine, willow, flowering and fruiting trees, grass, fish, boat with fisheram, bridge with person, animals, phoenixes, pagoda.
