Coat3295/10

Long open-front coat. Red striped silk with light blue and off-white cross-hatched lining. Panels of embroidered strips extend down the front on both sides of opening, and on the underside of the cuffs. The opening, collar, and cuffs are embroidered with yellow, black and white flowers. The front is decorated with metal drops (possibly pounded coins?), as well as Pahlavi Dynasty coins and Islamic Republic of Iran coins. The latter have amber-like decorations on the obverse side of each coin.

Dress3295/3

Full-length dress of hand woven cotton. Woven in strips, with separately woven bands of deep pink, orange and green, extending vertically down garment. Factory-made flower strips embellish the garment down each side, front and back, and along the top of the sleeves, and around the cuffs. Cross-stitched designs decorate the bib, shoulders, and bottom of the skirt on the back.

Belt composed of several sections of fabric. At centre, a section of bright green with floral pattern calico fabric, made of two pieces of fabric stitched together. This is bordered on each side by two sections of red textile, embroidered with various geometric designs and layered with small pieces of fabric. Each end has long, dark blue tassels.

Arm Band3295/40 a-b

Two matching arm bands (parts a-b). The bands are composed of woven dark blue fabric. Circling each end are bands of red, blue and grey triangles, and bordered by finely plaited cords of beige, red and green. Front centre has embroidered squares and diamonds using finely plaited cord in blue, green, red and burgundy. Five flowers of beads (four white beads with red bead at centre), one in each corner and one in the centre. Back centre has two side-by-side embroidered triangles with three flowers of beads.

Textile3295/54

White cotton weaving with thin multi-coloured stripes running down the length. Four white panels, divided lengthwise by three stripes with varying colours and widths. The fabric is divided again across the width by subtle green lines, two sections of three lines, and three sections of two lines in between. The textile is edged with solid green, and solid red stripes, and has short fringe on either end.

Feather Headdress3301/2

Headdress with thin woven band in pink and yellow, which wraps around the folded quill of each feather. The feathers alternate between a wide section of brownish-red feathers, and small sections of vibrant blue. The feathers have been trimmed evenly across the headband, with exception to the two full-length bright blue feathers at centre.

Woven tunic (cushma) with stripes. The tunic is composed of two long, rectangular panels folded in half, and then stitched together on the long edges, leaving an opening at the top for a head, and on the sides for arms. The garment is light beige with ten bands running vertically, the pattern mirrored on each side of the centre line. The bands are composed of various stripes of browns, light blue and black.
