Temple cloth with block printed image of a procession; characters alternate between a man holding a staff and a man on horseback. Both figures are holding swords in one hand and wearing elaborate robes and headpieces. The standing man is facing the right side of the cloth, the man on horseback is facing the left. Columns of shell-like motifs in background of scene, extending from top edge. Fan-like design along left side of image, striped oval-like shapes on right. Wide border, with chevrons throughout, along outer edges of cloth.

Temple Cloth3515/1

Temple cloth with series of block printed images across length. Scenes are divided by bands filled with chevrons. Central panel depicts Ganesh with a row of flowers overtop. Left panel consists of two worshippers, right side has a two-headed goat. Throughout scenes on left and right sides are trees, birds and fish motifs. Cloth has a black backing with loops along the top edge, for hanging purposes.

Short, red-purple woman's jacket with front opening and two pockets. Cuffs are bordered with black bands and green trim; green trim along edges of front opening. Black cloth stitched to sides of front opening, on elbows and top edge of pockets; imitating lapels, elbow patches and pocket flaps respectively. Curvilinear and geometric motifs embroidered around opening and on all black fabric; white button decorations throughout embroidery.

Temple Cloth3515/4

Temple cloth with block printed image of mother goddess on a two-headed bull; bulls have the upper bodies of humans. Priests are standing on either side of the bull, offering bowls. Bull heads close to feet of mother goddess, along bottom edge of scene. Central image is surrounded with a curved border; interior filled with floral designs and outlined with triangle motifs. Wide border, with plant motifs throughout, along outer edges of cloth. Space between outer border and curved inner border is filled with diagonal lines.

Sleeveless blouse with neck and arm openings lined with red velvet. Top portion of blouse is made up of a decorative panel, bottom half is undyed cotton. Panel is indigo with plain black stripes and white dashes throughout; multicoloured stripes and black bands are woven overtop. Stripes are done in green, pink, light purple-pink and light orange; bands are black with white geometric motifs throughout.

Wall Hanging3497/1

Applique wall hanging of three men and two women on a dark brown background. All have white faces, with oval-shaped eyes, long lashes, thin lines for mouths, and black hair. Men’s hair is cropped short, women have braids. Women are wearing long parkas and boots; men have short parkas, pants and boots. Parkas are orange, light purple-grey, and dark yellow, with dark purple, black, orange and pink trim. Pants and boots are dark yellow and light purple-grey, with black trim and light purple-grey trim. One of the men is in the background with a bow and arrow pointed at five bears and wolves. Animals are orange, dark blue and light purple-grey. The other humans are in the foreground, with their arms raised. Edges of hanging are rolled, secured with white and yellow whipstitching. (Velcro strip sewn on back, for hanging purposes).

Hip Cloth3511/10

Decorated rectangular hip cloth (beti naek) with tightly braided fringe on ends. Designs divided into three wide panels. Top and bottom panels are peach and decorated with stripes that span the length. Stripes are an assortment of plain and dotted lines; done in yellow, white, dark orange, green-grey, and blue-purple. Centre panel is dark green with yellow birds across it. Orange and light green floral motifs throughout birds. All designs have additional orange, dark brown and light green spots. Needlework panel in middle of central band. Design of diamonds and triangles on black; all shapes are made up of small triangles and diamonds. Embroidery is done in orange, white, teal, dark pink, purple, dark green, yellow, red and blue. Small yellow vertical stripes border top and bottom edges.

Sarong with sides sewn together, forming a rectangular tube skirt. Designs divided into three wide panels; separated by plain black stripes. Top and bottom edges of sarong are trimmed with two groupings of maroon stripes, with dark yellow dashes throughout them. Between the two groupings are dark orange and yellow triangles. Panels are dark brown and filled with rows of geometric and linear motifs; done in dark orange and yellow. Patterns in top and bottom panels are identical; middle panel has additional abstract geometric designs. Rows of black stripes throughout all panels. White tag on back.

Sarong with sides sewn together, forming a rectangular tube skirt. Decorated with nineteen horizontal bands; assortment of coloured stripes, dashes and curvilinear motifs in between each band. Centre band is black with yellow stitches in middle. From each side of centre band the patterns are identical. From centre outward bands are: maroon with light brown rotating curvilinear motifs; black with burgundy geometric and curvilinear motifs; maroon with light brown rotating curvilinear motifs; maroon with light brown rotating curvilinear motifs; black with burgundy geometric and curvilinear motifs; maroon with light brown rotating curvilinear motifs; black with large floral, geometric and bird-like designs; maroon with light brown rotating curvilinear motifs; and black with light brown floral motifs, made of curvilinear design elements, in triangle patterns. Rows of rectangles, with cross-like protrusions, decorate left sides of bands. White tag on back.

Sarong3511/6

Maroon sarong with fringe on ends. Top and bottom edges bordered by three patterned bands. Outer and inner bands have a repeating triangle motif, framed with curvilinear designs; centre band has a geometric motif. Bands are trimmed with plain stripes and rows of dots. Two large rectangles in centre of sarong. Repeating pattern of circles, filled with floral and linear motifs, throughout rectangles. Negative space, between circles and rectangle edges, is cross-shaped and filled with identical floral and linear designs. Borders on either end, consisting of two vertical bands. Inner band has a repeating triangle motif; outer band has repeating cross-like motif. All designs done in dark red-brown, dark orange and dark green. Fringe on ends are tied into bundles with plant fibre and pink thread.
