Part (a) Elongated oval coiled basket (bifurcated stitches) with pointed ends and attached lid, part (b). Fully imbricated in cat-tail grass (?) with rows of geometric diagonal stepped design alternating in dark and red cherry bark. Same configuration is repeated on flanged lid except at center, which has two beaded rows of cat-tail grass (?). Rawhide ties, handles and hinges. Basket looks Interior Salish, similar to D1.364 and D1.290.

Black wool pants (part b). The pants have a narrow waistband and a centre opening with a hook and eye closure and button fly. There are belt loops, pleats, two inner side pockets and a back inner right pocket. The pant legs are straight with a bottom cuff. The inside of the waistband is lined with cream and blue striped cotton. The inner seams are serged with white thread.

Black pants (part b) with blue waistband. The pants have a wide waistband and wide straight pant legs. The black fabric has a woven stripe pattern repeating thin vertical lines, one broken and one straight, in black thread on black ground. Diagonal seam from crotch to waistband.

Cream coat with a short standing collar, long wide sleeves and centre opening with brass frog fasteners. Below the waist, the coat divides into narrow handing panels. On the front, back and sleeves are butterfly, peony and prunus motifs on cream ground. The sleeves have a border with red peony motifs on brown ground, edged with pink trim, round mirrors and gold braid. On the hanging panels are lotus, chrysanthemum and peony motifs on cream ground. The centre panels also have fire and mountain motifs. The upper lining is natural coloured linen, the lower lining is blue cotton.

Long brown cotton tunic. The tunic has a round neck, long sleeves and side opening with brass frog closures. The inside is unlined.

Long green patterned dress with flared bottom. The dress has a round neckline, short netting sleeves and centre back opening with metal zipper. The dress is fitted through the bodice and thighs, then flares out at the bottom. The pattern repeats a lamp motif in green, pink and brown. The inside is unlined.

Small red jacket with white applique. The jacket has long sleeves and centre front opening with hook and eye closures. Around the neck, centre opening and sleeve ends are white appliqué bands and pieces in a floral and leaf motif. The inside is unlined.

Round basket of coils over twig construction. Two bands of red and black horizontally striped design.

Round coil basket (with bifurcated stitches), with lid. Rawhide handles tied into basket at both sides. Imbricated design in two rows of alternating checkerboard diamonds, in dark cherry bark and cat-tail grass (?), and red cherry bark and cat-tail grass (?). Short two row foot has beading, light colour cat-tail grass (?) on top and dark cherry bark on bottom. Part (b) lid has same cherckerboard diamond design but has two of same colour diamonds then alternates to other colour pattern. Knob at top is fully imbricated in red cherry bark. Hole in lid and shoulder of basket indicate they may have been tied together at one time.

Small oval coil basket with bifurcated stitches. Partial imbrication of alternating dark and red cherry bark in two row step design. Basket is decorated with skin that is looped through attachments at two points in back, and tied around and knotted at front, with white, blue, black and yellow plastic beads at ends. At back the tie has been braided into a handle.
