Fragment of a band. Rectangular in shape with wave designs, in diagonal rows, across entire surface. Background is black and waves are golden brown, done in geometric style. Golden brown lines, trimmed in black, along left and right edges.

Textile3448/27

Long, thin woven textile that is heavily embroidered on one side. Both short edges have twisted fringe. At centre, a wide band of red embroidered with beige X designs is flanked by two smaller bands of dark blue. On either side, are dark blue-grey panels each with a row of large embroidered cat-like and double X motifs. Along both sides is a smaller dark grey central panel with repeating embroidered X pattern, with even smaller dark grey panels of embroidered beige zigzags with dots within the spaces. These three small panels are divided by thin bands of solid red flanked by bands of solid dark blue.

Poncho. A large woven textile with a vertical slit as an opening in the centre. The poncho is a deep red with three vertical columns of attached blocky diamond-shapes. The bottom edges of the front and back have long looped fringe. On both front and back, there are strings on either side of the centre opening.

Long, thin textile that is heavily embroidered on one side. Both short edges have twisted fringe. At centre, a large human-like figure fills the majority of the textile. Above and below the figure are rectangular grids with four spaces, each containing two asterisk-like shapes. The centre panel is flanked on each side by a band of grey with two red stripes and repeating flower-like designs, with hourglass shapes in a row in each corner.

Rectangular woven grass green shawl with six rows of embroidered figures, animals, birds, and maize in pastel colours. There are horizontal bands embroidered between each row, with exception to the top two. Each band is composed of stripes of pastels colours. The top short edge of the textile has a short fringe, while the bottom short edge has long fringe.

Wrap-around skirt composed of two textiles stitched together along the long edge. Featuring alternating light blue and dark blue bands with light blue and orange stripes. The light blue bands are embroidered with multicoloured animal and flower motifs. The largest panel features two spotted golden cats facing one another, with three birds each with a purple snake in its mouth, spaced around them. Hemmed with light blue ribbon.

Kente cloth composed of eight dark blue hand woven cloth strips. The strips have been stitched together along the long edge, and then embroidered with designs within small rectangles. The entire cloth is covered in rectangles of designs with more of the blue background showing through in the centre area. Short blue fringed ends.

Small rectangular woven brown textile with embroidered designs. In the centre panel are rectilinear designs in various bright colours, outlined in thick black, all connected by diagonal lines. Filling the space between those designs are thin wavy black lines. Both ends have embroidered lines in various colours with one large band - on one end orange on grey zigzags, and the other end has repeating pink flowers and green foliage. One end is finished in a green stitch, and the other in black stitch.

Uncut Ikat weaving. Three panels of woven brown-red designs on a beige background, the centre panel is wider, with four identical bands separating the panels and edging the textile.
