Table Runner3332/2

Small rectangular woven table runner with long fringe on one short edge. The textile is striped light purple and light blue down the length, embroidered in bright geometric designs. There are three bands of light blue with light purple running down the length on either side and the centre, with neon pink vine-like designs and small rectangles in dark green, navy blue and burgundy. In between the bands are designs of triangles, diamonds and lines in light green, orange, yellow and dark blue.

Large rectangular woven textile with fringe along the short edges. Composed of three long pieces sewn together. The weave is beige with embroidered geometric designs of stars, steps, triangles and lines in light green, dark green, red, pink, dark blue and yellow-gold. Pockets for hanging sewn to back along the long edge of both the top and bottom.

Leggings3332/8 a-b

Leggings made of a heavy fabric, covered entirely in deep red embroidery. One end is edged with a thick border of brown. Each legging is heavily embroidered with a variety of techniques - red and dark green plaiting, red with geometric design cross-stitch, and intricate embroidery organic designs at top divided by two rows of metallic threads.

Fan composed of a painted wooden handle, and a separately woven blade. The blade is decorated around the edge with bands of fabric, which are covered with various needlepoint designs. The edges are lined with black-brown fringe and white beads, which carries over to a diamond-shaped centre design. Also decorated with long tassels in dark red, dark purple, dark blue, gold and dark green. The blade is decorated the same on both sides.

White, poncho-style tunic made of two rectangular pieces folded at the top and sewn down the centre. Small area left open for the arms; slit opening for the neck. Four bands run down front and back of tunic- along each edge, two down the middle. Edges are black cross-hatched lines trimmed with dark purple, white, black, yellow, red and light blue on each side. Bands down the middle are indigo cross-hatched lines trimmed with neon pink, black, dark teal, dark brown and dark purple on each side. Black geometric patterns embroidered on the white background with orange, dark green, light green, dark blue, red, yellow, magenta, yellow, neon pink, dark purple, teal, and light blue shapes throughout.

Batik sarong with a floral and peacock pattern over a pattern of diamond and concentric square pattern. A section of diagonal bands with floral designs alternating between bands of solid green and thin vertical red and white stripe pattern. Composed of one piece of fabric stitched together at the ends. Maker's name is at the edge of the design (Tan Ping Thian?). Smudged stamp applied on both sides, in dark ink.

Geringsing cloth with double ikat technique. Uncut fringe, so textile forms a loop. Central design features repeating large four-point stars, within semicircular patterns. Several rows of a grass-like fibre are woven into each end. Long edge bordered by solid light brown, and a thinner strip of solid black. 'SANTRA' is written down one edge.
