Box1404/17

Wooden box covered in brown silk and embroidery. The box is covered with brown damask silk woven containing a cloud motif. The edges are painted black. There are four padded orange ties knotted on one side as hinges. There are two padded orange ties on the opposite side as closures. Embroidery on the lid is a vase upon a gold wagon with prunus, peony and orchid motifs. Embroidered on the sides are vase, butterfly and floral motifs. The bottom is white and undecorated. The inside is covered with orange silk.

Pair of tan-coloured hide moccasins with tall extensions around the ankle and lower calf. Long laces at either side of the ankle for securing the tops to the leg. Curving green ribbon is stitched around the top of the foot.

Rectangular panel with bands surrounding the centre section. The thin outside band is black. The second band is very thin and blue. The third band is thick and dark green with a scroll pattern. The fourth band is again very thin and blue. The fifth band is thin and black. The centre section has a piece of velvet(?) fabric with a dark green pattern on an orange background. The panel is backed by a piece of tan fabric.

Poncho1040/1

White with embroidery, in a rectangular shape with a round neck and no sleeves. The upper portion of the front and back has a large embroidered half circle. Within the half circle are three star motifs surrounded by an abstract striped pattern in pink, purple, yellow, green, blue and white. The bottom edge is unfinished. The inside is lined with a second piece of white cotton.
