VestSf1028

Vest made with the two front panels and the exterior of its stand-up collar in red fabric. Off-white material forms the back of the vest as well as the front panel and collar linging. The collar, front and bottom edges are finished in green edging. There is a pocket on each side of the front, and these as well as the collar and the edges that meet at the front centre are decorated with plastic buttons.

Poncho composed of two woven rectangles of woven fabric with alternating black and red bands as well as yellow, white, black and dark grey stripes at the front and back. The two woven rectangles are sewn together across the shoulders with a hole left at the centre as a neck opening. The neck opening and edges of the poncho are finished with a woven band in red, black, yellow and white with a diamond pattern.

Blue embroidery on plain white cloth. Five motifs: Centre shows vase on pedestal holding branches of leaves, fruit, and three birds. Both motifs flanking centre are identical: fruit tree with bird. Two vases at either end are similar with different pedestals, each holding flowering branch. Bordered on all three sides with embroidered tassels, flowers, crabs and other design elements. Hemmed on all sides.

Pair of matching bands of beadwork with long, multicoloured wool fringes at each end. Beadwork is multicoloured and geometric, with recurrent diamond shapes and an emphasis on the colour pink. Wool fringes are predominantly blue, green and red, and all but one are knotted.

Round headring with four braided cedar bark tiers and a bundled layer on top, all are dyed red. Lined with red wool inside. One small animal skin with white fur attached to the front and another attached to the back of the head ring. There is a rectangular shaped piece of abalone attached to the front.

Stuffed male doll with long black hair, a beaded buckskin outfit, and beaded moccasins. A naturalistic face is painted on the head. Red cloth headband; a long, trailing piece of red cloth is attached to the back of the headband. Hair is braided in two sections and wrapped with red cloth. Tunic top and pants both have a fringe in several places and multicoloured geometric beading.
