A large, rectangular black fabric piece. Main design is consisting of a flower design at each corner. The central flower is red with either a dark blue or a dark purple centre and has pink stems radiating from it for smaller peripheral red flowers with yellow centres, and green leaves. The edges have a zig zag line of red, light pink, dark pink, white, dark blue, and green.

Cap of black silk damask with widely spaced roundels and floral motifs. The cap is made of two halves joined at a centre seam from front to back, except for the opening at the top, round when worn. This opening and the forehead area are edged with narrow piping. The edge of the cap is straight across the forehead, but then is cut at a right angle so that it covers the ears. The lower edge forms a circle from the right angle to the top opening. The outer fabric is folded under at the ears and threaded on a cord. The cap is lined with blue-green rayon damask with geometric stepped designs and roundels. A pink silk cord extends loosely across the top opening, attached at the centre front and back. At the back are suspended three pink tassels wrapped in silver thread. At the centre front is a complex knot design in pink cord, and five pink tassels.

At the end of the back seam is attached an ornament of the same metal in the shape of a bat or cicada. Pieces of white paper are pasted to the inside at both sides, and inside the forehead area.
A densely embroidered, multi-coloured cuff, consisting of a wide band (13.4 cm) joined to form a cylindrical shape. Embroidered designs in the form of large X’s and asterisk-shapes, worked in red floss outlined in light gray-white on brown cotton textile, alternate in the central design field, and there are bands of red, orange and light gray-white embroidered geometric designs at the edges. There are two large pompoms, one orange and one red, sewn to the seam where the two ends of the band are joined.
