Comb3446/1

Comb with sixteen teeth carved from ebony wood. Teeth attach to semi-circular body of comb that extends into a cylindrical handle. Top of handle carved into head of snake-like creature. Animal has two ivory(?) eyes inlaid into it, with black inset pupils. Linear designs incised throughout body and handle.

A small carving of a pig. It has circular eyes carved into either side of its face and an upturned snout. It has two short squared-off ears, and a row of "u" shaped markings running along its jaw (perhaps teeth). Along the figure's spine is a line of "u" shaped markings. The pig has a straight cylindrical tail with small linear markings along it.

The figure is carved on a rounded base, and has circular carved eyes above small "U" shaped marks on its face. The brow of the figure is pronounced on its smooth, narrow head. There is a line carved across the figure's face above the brow line, and a similar one across the figure's shoulders. In the centre of this line there is a small half-circle above a "Y" shaped marking. Each of the figure's limbs has a carved outline which ends in a "swirl" shape on either side of the figure's body.

Wooden carving of a squatting figure with its knees drawn up to its body, resting its elbows on its knees and its chin on the ends of its arms. The figure is carved on a rounded base that has un-even wedge-shaped patterning around it. Its mouth has a row of triangular teeth carved into it, and there are two "u" shaped marks carved into each side of the face (each pair is carved one above the other). The brow of the figure is pronounced on its smooth rounded head, there is a band of wedge-shaped carvings topped with a line above the figure's brow. A similar "u" shaped pattern is carved along the figure's limbs on either side of the body. The pattern along the arms meets in the centre of the shoulders. Along the spine of the figure there is an uneven pattern of "u" shaped marks with a linear border. Some of the lines are filled with white lime.

Lime Spatula3092/21

Small lime spatula with a carved handle. The handle is rectangular in shape with a slight taper in the middle, topped with a carved bird. A raised T-shaped area, with U-shaped markings, runs down the centre, ending at a small carved circle. The rest of the handle is carved with swirl designs. The carving continues down into the spatula end in a zigzag pattern. All of the carved areas are filled with white lime. The spatula end is an elongated tear-drop shape.
