Tall cloisonne vase with a narrow neck and a slightly flared lip on a footed base. Band around base of neck depicts clouds, human figure and a large bird on front and back. Body of vase, front and back, depicts bird and large flowers outlined in black. Overall yellow, dark blue, red, white, and green floral pattern on a light blue background. Bottom of vase bears a cartouche with Japanese(?) characters.

Decoration of books, flowers in baskets, floral and geometric borders. Interior is blue enamel, edges are metal. Lid (b) has flower pattern and a metal decoration added in the form of a grape branch and a mouse under a flower.
