Large mask with short broad beak and big flaring nostrils. Short curved frill covered along rim with cedar bark fringe. On top of head are feathers, cedar bark fringe and three other smaller bird heads. Black, white and red.
Feather sample. Original field container lists, "Misc. Sample No. 1/Swanson." No additional field documentation has been located for this sample. Assigned by the Burke cataloger to 45KT20/MS1 to represent Swanson's Misc. Sample series. (David Hunt, 05/24/2011)

One grey feather fragment. Field Catalog Form indicates the provenience as: Unit 4N1, Level 1(3-5"), Description "Bird feather". Data compiled from block cards suggest the excavator for this unit was Bill Rathbun on 7/18/1953. (01/26/2010 A. Auerbach)

A) Part of shaft, stone head, and double barbed bone foreshaft of an arrow. Sinew attachment. B) Foreshaft and stone head of an arrow. Head lashed on with sinew. C) Triple feathered, stone headed arrow with sinew lashing. D E) Two triple feathered stone headed arrows. Heads attached with composition like cement. Note arrows A and B are located in Archaeology Drawer. Descriptions are very close to those for arrows 1949.199 C-F.; Good.
Round hoop made of root is threaded through four pairs of scallop shells. Eight bunches of grey and black striped feathers are attached near top with bark strips. Carved wooden handle is in the form of a double-headed seal and is attached with two pieces of leather and three brass tacks.
Ornament consisting of a carved wooden peg, beads placed on a metal pin, and two cross-bars of bone to which feathers are fastened with thread. Sequins are sewn to one side of each feather. The wooden beads are black, red, white and green in colour.
