Maroon shawl (selendang) with fringe on ends. Top and bottom edges are bordered by three patterned bands. Outer and inner bands have an alternating diamond and triangle motif, with dots throughout; centre band has a repeating geometric motif. Bands are maroon, and separated with black and burgundy stripes and dark orange dots; designs are dark orange with dark green and maroon highlights. Wide maroon panel in centre of sarong. Repeating columns of figures and geometric motifs across length; all designs done in dark orange with dark green and burgundy highlights. Figures are a mix of birds, lizards, scorpions, butterflies, humans(?), and plants. Dark orange triangles border both ends of centre panel. White sticker on back.
Sarong with sides sewn together, forming a rectangular tube skirt. Decorated with nineteen horizontal bands; assortment of coloured stripes, dashes and curvilinear motifs in between each band. Centre band is brown with yellow stitches in middle. From each side of centre band the patterns are identical. From centre outward bands are: black with white snowflake-like motif; plain brown; black with white snowflake-like motif; brown with white triangles made of curvilinear motifs; black with white sun-like motif; black with white oval-like shapes in centre and maroon triangles along edges, shapes filled with floral and curvilinear motifs; black with white sun-like motif; brown with white triangles made of curvilinear motifs; and black with white sun-like motif. Triangle designs, with cross-like protrusions at tops, decorate left sides of bands. White tag on back.

Triangle designs decorate right side of bands.
Dark red scarf (selendang) with fringe on ends. Top and bottom edges of scarf have a dark maroon border, with light orange dashes throughout. Repeating pattern of pointed ovals, filled with floral and linear motifs, through centre of scarf. Ovals are connected by dots. Negative space, between ovals and border, filled with identical floral and linear designs. Border on both ends, consisting of three vertical bands. Outer and inner bands have a dot motif; centre band has a repeating triangle motif. All designs are done in red-brown and dark orange. Fringe on ends are tied into bundles with plant fibre; six bundles on left edge, five on right.
Seven-stringed lyre with a wooden sound chamber covered in leather skin; skin secured with nails. Triangular wood frame extends from top of sound chamber, made up of two vertical rods inserted through the leather and connected at the top by a third horizontal rod. Third rod has raised decorations on the sides and a cone-shaped protrusion on the left edge. Seven bands of braided plant fibre are tied across the horizontal rod. Oval-shaped hole towards bottom of skin cover; seven strings inserted through it and are wound around horizontal rod, overtop the braided bands. Strings are stretched over a small rectangular soundboard, adhered to centre of leather cover. Two-tiered circular decoration on back centre of sound chamber. All components of lyre are darkened to dark brown; strings are black.
Basketry container with lid, encased in a leather holder. Container has a circular mouth that flares into a rounded body; raised braided seam around middle. Body tapers into a small flat base, with a concave centre. The lid has an inner ridge, that fits into the container body, and a raised knob on the top centre. Bottom edge of lid has braided decorations; sides of knob are covered in cowrie shells. The holder consists of three vertical straps secured together with three horizontal straps along the bottom, centre and top of the container. Front and back strap are separate pieces; left and right side made up of one long strap that extends overtop of the container, imitating a handle. Additional leather ties are looped throughout the holder. Motifs are incised and darkened across all straps. Left, right and back straps have alternating stripes and "X" shapes; front band has wide diagonal lines throughout.
Tamer's headdress. Cedar bark headdress in the form of a rounded beak: two semi-circular flaps at front representing a beak with two long oval shapes that sit on top of beak, a hooked nose that projects out over the beak. Bunched cedar strips are attached at the top of the headdress frame with thick white string, and white string is wrapped around the base of the frame at the back. (Photos show mask without the nose piece; nose repaired in 2021.)
Male Bunraku theatre puppet (part a) wearing a long heavy robe. He has a removable head (part b) and separate sword (part c). The body has an internal wooden, bamboo and paper frame, with cords and rods throughout to control arm and hand movement. There are stuffed cloth bundles around the arms, legs and stomach for added dimension. The character is wearing a long-sleeved, front-closing under-robe, coloured dark orange with elaborate white embroidery across its entire surface. Motifs consist of circular dragons with curvilinear and floral lines in between. Overtop, the puppet is wearing a short-sleeved, vest-like robe. The shoulders and lower half are pleated. Coloured dark purple with a dark grey meander pattern background. Throughout there are embroidered circular dragons divided by rows of flowers; designs in white, dark orange and dark green. Matching belt tied around waist. White wooden hands extend past the sleeves. The head (part b) consists of a beige square-like face, long beige neck and styled black hair. He has a wide nose, large light grey eyes, and wide slanted eyebrows. A pointed diagonal red line is painted across both eyes, lips are done in a matching red. He has a light blue beard and moustache. Hair is pulled into a top knot, with a paper bow secured behind. Head is attached to a wooden rod with a handgrip. Multiple cords, with toggles, run through the grip and into the head, to control eye, eyebrow, mouth and neck movement. Maker's mark stamped onto base of head and along back of handgrip. The short curved sword (part c) is sheathed. It has a black hilt with a bronze-coloured metal pommel and guard. The sheath is black with a bronze-coloured metal cap. The sheath’s grip is dark brown and has light brown flowers painted across it. Brown, grey and white striped cord tied around the blade, to attach it to the puppet’s belt.
Mouth organ (sompoton) made of bamboo pipes inserted into a dried gourd, sealed together with bees wax. Pipes are bundled together, with plant fibre ties, in two rows of four. Pipes in top row are all the same height, length of bottom pipes vary. Small holes along sides of pipes on outer edges. Gourd mouth piece has a circular body and long, thin neck that extends to the side.
Striped sash with heavy embroidery. Stripes alternate between pale pink and dark pink, with threads extending into adjoining sections, giving stripes flowing appearance. Embroidery is along the bottom edge and upper two thirds of the sash, with a wide section of plain stripes in between. Embroidery consists of triangular sections- with backgrounds of gold, white, pale pink and dark pink- filled with floral and geometric motifs. Geometric motifs are of concentric diamonds, hexagons, diagonal and horizontal lines. All are done in white. Reeds and flowers, done in gold thread, throughout dark and pale pink sections. Pale pink, blue, purple and white flowers, with yellow, white and green leaves, embroidered overtop gold triangular sections. Silver highlights throughout the flowers. Top edge of sash is bordered with gold and dark pink zigzag motif, bottom edge bordered with gold and pale pink zigzag motif. Back of sash is pale pink and undecorated. Length edges are finished seams, width edges are folded. Characters, embroidered in gold, inside fold along top edge.
