The item search helps you look through the thousands of items on the RRN and find exactly what you’re after. We’ve split the search into two parts, Results, and Search Filters. You’re in the results section right now. You can still perform “Quick searches” from the menu bar, but if you’re new to the RRN, click the Search tab above and use the exploratory search.

A small flake fragment.
A small flake fragment with 100% dorsal cortex.
A biface thinning flake, with a crushed platform. Dorsal face is convexed, with some conchoidal rings. Ventral face is concaved.
A large, thick flake with cortex and a crushed platform. Evidence of flake removal on dorsal surface. Distal margin has had multiple flakes removed, possibly due to historic or contemporary land use activities.
A medium sized thick flake with a cortical platform and stepped termination. Dorsal surface has ridges from multiple previous flake removals. Ventral surface has conchoidal rings, and red staining on distal end.
A large, thick flake with a crushed platform. Distal end has had multiple flakes removed, possibly due to historic or contemporary land use activities. Left lateral margin near the distal end has several retouch flakes on the ventral surface.
A medium sized flake, moderately thick with a crushed platform. Proximal margin has multiple retouch flakes on dorsal surface. Left lateral margin has multiple retouch flakes on the ventral surface.
A medium sized side struck cortex spall tool, the cortex is a smooth light grey with a fine grain. The exposed surface is a dark, almost glassy, grey with a very fine grain. There's an impact site on the left mesial portion on the dorsal face, with compression ripples extending width-wise. A single ridge along the midddle of the dorsal, with some compression ripples near the left proximal end, and near the right mesial portion closer to the distal end. A flat angled section has been removed from the ventral surface, as well, creating a thin fine edge.
A medium sized flaked biface, the belonging is a glassy dark grey with a very fine grain. This belonging sports a rounded edge, a protruding point, and a squared off point. The dorsal surface has been worked and has multiple multidirectional flake arrises. The protruding point has a semi sharp bevelled edge on one side, and a thin semi sharp edge on the other side. The ventral surface has an impact site opposite the squared point, and some compression ripples going length-wise.
A large semi-oval primary flake. The cortex makes up the entire ventral face, and is a smooth light grey with some indents and a dark black square in the centre. The exposed dorsal surface is a dark grey with some tiny white speckles and a very fine grain. There's a point of imapct site on the distal end, and a flake removal scar on the dorsal surface that cuts off abruptly. A compression ring extends just below the straight edge, and a few more ripples appear near the proximal end.
