Painted gourd dish. Dish is light with a very thin wall, oblong in shape. From a rounded bottom the dish flares toward the rim. Vessel is painted a shiny black on both interior and exterior, with an incised decoration in a wide strip around the rim. Pattern is of a dense set of thick wavy lines with a scalloped edge below.The decoration is unpainted, and left a raw light brown.

Pattern is sets of concentric circles, cut in half, lining the top and bottom of the strip on its interior, with diagonal lines cutting through to their midpoints. The decoration is unpainted, and left a raw light brown.

Decorated Gourd2918/2 a-b

Small container with lid, made out of a hollowed gourd. The gourd (part a) is decorated with elaborate carvings of harvest scenes, musicians playing outside a building, fruit picking in an orchard, women talking. Two panels showing a stylized frog divide the scenes. The base of the gourd is decorated with carved geometric designs. The lid (part b) is cut out of the gourd and is convex, bulging in the centre where a stem would be. It is decorated as a stylized flower.

Decorated Gourd2918/1 a-b

Small container with lid, made out of a hollowed gourd. The gourd (part a) is decorated with elaborate carvings of musicians and dancing, and travellers with donkies. Trees, birds, flowers and huts appear in the background. Six small panels, three on each side, show small animal creatures with arms out-stretched. The base and lid of the gourd are decorated with matching carved geometric designs. The lid (part b) is cut out of the gourd and is convex, rounding toward the centre where a stem would be.
