The gilded medallion is embossed with scalloped shell designs at the corners and an oval centre design of stylized leaves and flower with a red glass bead or gemstone in the centre and small pearls(?) inset into the petals. The floral design sits at the centre of a black cloisonné(?) oval. There is a clasp on either side.
