Devil Mask1362/1 a-d

Devil mask (part a) with fanciful face in red ceramic, spikes and protrusions over nose and forehead, large serrated ears, twisting horns (parts b and c), and a double dragon headpiece on top. Eyes are of bulbous glass and glass beads adorn protruding spikes. Horns fit onto wooden pegs protruding from the head. (Part d consists of the pieces of the left broken eye.)

Hat with black dome-shaped cotton (?) base that has domed metal ornaments, off-white buttons, and white glass beads sewn to the base. Hanging from the top front are several strands of multicoloured beads, strung seeds, pompoms, tufts of bright red feathers, and off-white and red tufts of hair.

Pair of slippers with a leather sole and raised wedge heel. The heel is covered in dark red velvet, as is the vamp of the shoe. The insole of the slipper is red velvet and the vamp is ornamented with red, white, and silver glass beadwork in arcs and triangles with a half flower to the side.

Plate441/1

Round plate edged with metal. The inner edge of the piece is decorated with light purple flowers inside semi-circles. The majority of the plate has a black coloured background and is decorated with blue, red, pink, green and gold floral designs. There is a red circle in the centre of the plate and it has an image of a bird and flowers inside of it. The under side of the plate has a metal foot, and the outer and inner edge of the piece is decorated with black coloured scale-like bands. In between the bands are alternating blue and pink floral designs on a green background.

Sword1310/1 a-b

Blade without handle in wooden scabbard decorated with painted curly designs, wrapped with knotted cord, and with a fringe of green and brown beads with teeth at ends. A smaller scabbard is held in place on one side of large scabbard by knotted cord. Four pieces of skin with fur are held by the cord that is wrapped around scabbard. A loop of knotted cord comes off one edge of scabbard for hanging. The blade is decorated with engraved wave and circle designs on one side along back edge and at end. Two sets of three holes are also along back edge as are two barbed protrusions.

Bag1309/1

Square beaded bag with a brown hide fringe sewn into the bottom and a long, brown hide flap with an opening sewn into the top. Two strips of black fabric are sewn along the side seams of the bag where there is beading (though this fabric is torn and worn through in many spots). Beading on both sides of bag is white with a centred floral pattern using red and blue beads. The patterns are slightly different, however, with one side also having pink beads.
