Large long dark blue jacket with open front. Collar is long and extends down to jacket waist and has a red wool trim around white and blue embroidery with snowflake designs. Jacket has light blue trim on the edges and two light blue stripes on the ends of the sleeves. There are two embroidered snowflakes in white, green, red and yellow on the shoulders. The sides are slit up to the waist and the tops of the slits have tassels with beads and pink wool. The neck of the collar also has strings of beads with red tassles which hang down the back of the jacket.

Wooden staff used by Corpus Christi dancers. The Corpus Christi festival celebrates the Eucharist as the body of Christ. The handle of the staff has a square profile with rounded edges. At the top end of the staff, the handle attaches to a star with 14 points. In the centre of the star, there is a round piece of mirror encased in a thin metal frame. One nail is visible in the metal frame. At the very top of the star, there is a small cross protruding from the back of the star. It is missing one of its horizontal transepts. It is affixed to the back of the cross with a metal nail.
Portable altar containing three dimensional figures of Saint Isidore the Laborer and two yoked bulls. The top and side walls of the altar are painted blue. There is an arched opening in the façade of the altar. It has a yellow border. There is a sheet of glass in the opening so that the figures inside are protected. On either side of the archway, there are blue pilasters with gold capitals. There is also a dark blue archivolt lining the archway. The roof above the arch is triangular. It is painted pink with gold accents. There is a flower-shaped finial at the apex of the arch; it is pink with blue leaves. On either side of the central triangle, there are two smaller triangles completing the roofline. They have the same finials as the central triangle. The wall below the finials is painted yellow-white with pink accents. Where the left and right sides of the front of the object border the pilasters, they are painted green with red stripes. Inside the altar, the figure of Saint Isidore stands atop a cube plinth that is painted yellow-white with blue designs over top. Saint Isidore wears black boots, a green robe with gold trim and has a brown beard and long hair. He holds a red book with black text on the cover. Left of Saint Isidore, there are two small bulls painted yellow-white with black spots and red tongues. There is a gold yoke between them. The bulls stand atop a low, square plinth of unpainted wood. The artist’s name is written on the back of the object in blue pen. Also, a location is written in pencil and a number is written in red pen.
Tin retablo altar depicting Cristo Negro or Christ of Esquipulas. The case consists of tin and glass. The sides are angled to form a trapezoid at the top and bottom of the object. On the top of the altar, there are decorative pieces of tin with scalloped edges. At the top front, the decorative piece is embossed with a flower, vines and circles. Along the bottom of the object, there are also decorative pieces with straight edges and circular designs on them. The back of the altar is polished on one side to give it a mirror effect; this piece can slide upwards out of the frame to allow access to the back of the retablo (but there is currently a piece of tape attaching it to the altar). The other sides of are glass within the tin frame. The figure inside the altar has black skin and is affixed to a cross. Underneath the man’s hands and feet there are silver tin flowers. Around his head is a tin halo and he wears a small crown as well. His long hair is made of black and white thread hanging down. There is a white cloth low on his waist with gold bands and spots. Attached to his right hip is a white circle with a blue decoration in the centre. There is blood dripping from the man’s forehead, neck, hands, rib and knees. In the background of the altar are tin flowers affixed to a wooden flower. Along the top and sides the flowers are red, pale yellow, silver, light pink and pink. On the centre bottom of the frame, there is a blue flower. There is another blue flower affixed to the base of the cross. There is a hole in the back of the object near the top. Also on the back, a number is written inside of a circle.
Dark brown cross with carved wooden angel attached. The horizontal branches of the cross meet the vertical beam at an acute angle as opposed to the more often seen perpendicular angle. There is a polygonal shape carved into the top end of each branch of the cross. They are painted a faint red. At the intersection of the branches, there is a carved wooden angel. The angel does not have a body, only a child-like face and green pink and silver wings. The angel’s face is painted light brown with pink cheeks and lips. Below the angel, there is a round mirror inset into the cross. It is surrounded by a thin metal frame. There are silver and gold accents in various places on the surface of the cross. Some of the accents are painted and some are small pieces of paper appliqued to the surface. There is a metal eye hook attached to the back of the cross. There is also a piece of tape with a number written on it.
Portable altar containing a three dimensional figure of the Virgin del Cisne (town in Ecuador) holding a baby. The top and side walls of the altar are painted blue. The front of the altar has an elaborate façade. There is an arched opening in the middle of the façade that reveals the figures inside. A pane of glass encloses the figures inside the altar. The innermost part of the arch is painted yellow. Slightly outwards, there is a raised gold border that follows the line of the arch. On either side of the arch, there are blue pilasters with gold borders and gold capitals. Above the arch, the wall ascends into a curved roofline that looks like a flattened onion dome; it is painted green with red and blue accents. At the top of the dome, there is a flower-shaped finial. The flower is pink with blue flowers and gold accents. The walls on either side of the central dome ascend into triangles. They also have pink and blue finials at their apexes. The upper portion of each of the walls is painted yellow-white with red and blue detailing. Where the side walls border the pilasters, they are painted yellow with a red and blue scalloped detail along the outer edges. Inside the altar, the side and top walls are painted yellow-white with pink details. The figure of the Virgin stands upon a two-part plinth. The lower part is cylindrical and is painted yellow-white with green splotches. Atop the lower portion, there is a small blue mound. The Virgin is barefoot. She wears a gold crown, a long red jacket and a yellow-white dress with gold embroidery. In her left hand she holds a gold staff and in her right hand she holds baby Jesus. The child wears a yellow robe with gold trim. The skin of both figures is pink. The back of the object is unpainted. There is a piece of paper affixed to the back of the object with paint. On it, the subject of the altar is written in blue pen. There is also a piece of tape with a number written on it in blue pen.
Tin retablo altar depicting 'Our Lady of Solitude.' The case of the altar is made of tin and glass. The top and bottom of the object form a trapezoid. Three of the four sides of the case are glass in a tin border. The back side of the case is tin that has been polished on one side to give it a mirror effect. Along the top edge of the case, there are decorative pieces of tin with scalloped edges. These pieces are also embossed. The front piece has a flower and leaves embossed into it. There are decorative pieces of tin along the bottom edge of the case too. These pieces have straight edges and are embossed with a half-circle design. Inside the glass, there is a small figure of a woman, created out of plastic and fabric. Her elbows are bent and her hands are joined together in prayer. Due to her large garment, most of the woman’s body is obscured from view. Only her hands and her face are visible. The woman’s eyes are closed. Her garment is a hooded robe that has a triangular shape. The garment is brown with gold seams and brown sparkles arranged into a sun motif. She wears a gold crown on top of her head. The woman stands upon a small tin base that has flowers embossed in it. In the background, there is a wooden frame to which there are tin foil flowers and leaves affixed. The flowers are orange, yellow, red and pink on the front and some are blue on the back. Stamped into the ceiling inside the case is the word is the word ‘Mexico’ written backwards. On the top exterior of the case, there is a small triangular hook. On the back of the altar, there is a small hole. There is also a number and some indecipherable words written. On the bottom of the object there is a number and some letters written in a white pencil.
Large, rectangular, woven cedar basket with lid. The basket is decorated with thick imbricated lines, horizontal, diagonal, and vertical, on all sides. Two long leather handles hang down, each attached to both long sides of the basket. On the front is a narrow leather fringe with glass beads, and thongs on both basket and lid to tie it closed. At the back are two leather “hinges” attaching the lid to the basket. The lid is very slightly convex.
