Amulet2790/13

Fringed amulet with knotted skin ties. Numerous strands of twined brown rope, each with a loop of five white beads at the bottom, are stitched between rectangular pieces of thick canvas with dark beading on the front and at edges. One strand of white beads is looped across the top of the fringe. Each of the ties is knotted into a large loop at the loose end, one loops through a large button, the other loops over the button.

Neck Ring2790/11

Beaded neck ring. Strings of beads are coiled around a thick cord of rope ? in a pattern of solid areas of blue and black divided with rings of yellow, white and orange. Brown wool ties, thread through a green bead, are knotted together and tied off with two green beads each at the ends.

Beaded Necklace2790/10

White beaded necklace. A small rectangular panel decorated with three similar motifs in green, orange, blue and black hangs at one end of thick cord of twined double strings of beads. The necklace (or headband?) fastens with a loop over two larger beads at the opposite end of the cord.

Beaded hide apron with straight top and five scalloped panels hanging along the bottom. Brass ring trim at edge of waist flap. The lower front is divided into 5 hanging panels of varied length, with a small tab at each side. Beaded motifs in green, blue, pink, brown, and red in a white background include bands along the top, a house with a cross on the roof in the centre, and a Z and a cross on the central hanging panel.

Apron2790/1

Skin apron with beadwork on rolled waist band and in a thick band across the waist flap. Stitched to the edge of the flap are two rows of brass and copper rings and knotted into it at one side is a skin tie. The front skin surface is blackened (possibly shoe polish).
