Bobbin524/6 e

Thin, cylindrical wooden bobbin with beads (part e). There is a knob at one end with a wire loop and five beads of various sizes in blue, clear and white with green-yellow dots. The other end has a flared tip and a recessed area for thread. The shaft has two thin carved grooves.

Beadwork Pouch1003/69

Garment with beadwork and tassels. The garment is square shaped with a brown pocket slit in the centre. A long band is attached at both ends to the top of the square. The sides are edged with dark green trim. Beadwork covers the entire surface of the band and square. The beadwork has floral motifs in pink, red, yellow, white and blue, vine motifs in blue and large leaf motifs in green on a clear bead background. Attached at bottom are beaded gold and green tassels. The back is lined with brown cotton.

Bandolier Bag2695/6

Beaded bag with a beaded strap. The wide strap has a design with floral motifs within diamond shapes on white beaded ground. At the midpoint, the strap is attached to the bag. The bag has centre floral motifs flanked by multicoloured, wavy lines. The two rows of red and grey have a running otter design of 4 circles followed by a line (represents four feet and the dragging tail). Extending downward from the bottom are beaded fringes with tassels of red and black yarn. Back is unlined.

White beaded panel with tree at centre in brown, green and red beads surrounded by outline of green square, border of red, yellow, green and black animals and another square outline. Around this are 12 of the same symbol in red, yellow, blue and green. A border of red, yellow, green and white arrows, then an outer border of red, white and blue separate bead work from fabric frame. Two bands of red then yellow frame the square, then three bands of geometric shapes, chevron, diamond and diagonal. Dark blue border near edge and red band is the outer most border. Reverse side red cotton.

Red wool dance shirt with appliqué and beading. The shirt has a round neckline and long sleeves. Around the neck is a ‘H’ shaped appliqué panel. There are black appliqué panels around the neck, cuffs and bottom hem. The panels have beaded floral motifs with shell button centres and are edged with green trim. The inner lining is green material.
