Turned wooden bobbin, plain design. Nine glass beads attached to the end by means of a loop of steel wire: 2 metallic gray; 2 frosted white; 2 light blue, 2 brown; 1 medium blue.

A tall basketry covered glass vase of light yellow-brown. Dark brown and red horizontal rows around the tapered top end. Main design around the sides consists of a dark brown horizontal row with two arrow-shapes and connecting a red quadrangle, a dark brown horizontal row with double arrow-shapes and connecting dark brown birds, and a dark brown horizontal row with two arrow-shapes and connecting a red quadrangle. Arrow-shapes point counter-clock-wise. Two horizontal red rows around the bottom. Contains material within.

Wooden tool consisting of an oblong basin and a narrower protruding area with an inset wheel; the wheel has a metal crank handle holding it in place. A small hole goes through the wall between wheel and basin and another hole is at opposite side of basin through to outer wall. A small glass bead is around the hole at end; a turtle is in relief between the glass bead and the basin; a landscape is in relief on side of wheel opposite the handle; an incised face is on the flat surface of the handle. Remnants of black ink are in the bowl.

Model boat in a glass and wood case. The boat is enclosed and has eight protruding oars on either side. There are thirteen small windows on either side; every other window has a slightly protruding cannon. The front of the boat has a protruding dragon head with open mouth and long whiskers; an anchor also comes from the front of the boat beneath the head. The rear of the boat has two protruding fins in line with the sides of the boat; in between the fins is a rudder. The top of the boat is domed and decorated with an engraved hexagon pattern; each hexagon has central area painted gold and metal spike protrude from the centres and corners of most hexagons. Two flag poles protrude from the top, one at the centre and on near the head. The flags are red with gold characters painted on them. The boat is resting on four wooden legs.

Small red dress with embroidery. The dress has a v-neck with a loop closure, short sleeves and full skirt with side slits. A piece of dark blue cotton with a floral pattern is beneath the v-neck opening. Around the neck is a thick geometric border in with mirrors and metal sequins. The sleeves have bands of various widths with braid, rickrack and metal sequins. There are triangular gussets under the sleeves. The skirt has embroidered circles in orange, green and brown and edged with white on red ground. A purple silk overlay covers the red skirt. The bottom hem has yellow cotton crocheted trim worked in a scallop stitch. The inside is unlined. There is a white label inside the neck that says ‘Made in Afghanistan’.

Woman’s or child’s backless blouse made from a large embroidered panel which forms the entire front of the blouse. There is a vertical neck opening at the centre front, bound with pale grey-green cotton textile; the blouse fastens at the centre back neckline with ties made of cotton textile (one made of printed textile and one plain). Square front shoulder yokes are decorated with mirror and pompoms; diamond-shaped geometric forms are worked in purple, off-white and red silk thread. The same designs also appear below the yoke, forming a cross shape, bordered with a black braid made from thick bundles of thread which have been couched onto the surface. The bottom portion of the blouse is embellished with scattered, multi-coloured, embroidered geometric forms and mirrorwork. The hem and sides are bordered with plain green and plain red cotton textile. The sleeves are bordered with red and gold rayon or silk brocade and plain green cotton textile. On the back, separate, small shoulder yokes made from panels of red cotton broadcloth are sewn at the shoulders and at the underarms, forming close-fitting, abbreviated sleeves. The embroidery is underlined with grey cotton gauze.

A square of red cotton muslin embroidered with bold, multicoloured, circular motifs and bordered on three sides by geometric figures. The main design field is divided into four quadrants, each containing a large mandala of concentric circles worked in stem stitch and interlacing stitch, with a mirror in the centre of each circle. In the middle of the design field is a slightly larger mandala with a more elaborate centre containing a number of small mirrors. There are small, circular mirrors and square embroidered motifs scattered in a regular pattern over the red background. The edges are bound with black cotton gauze on all four sides. The embroidery is not underlined.

Part a is a long beaded necklace with a large round wooden bead at one end and three large oval-shaped dark brown-green beads descending in size with two small wooden beads on either side of a reddish-brown round bead with circular designs around its middle. Part b is a strung fragment similar to part a. Parts c - i are wooden beads. Part j is a strung fragment of part a(?) that is interspersed with light blue beads and ends with three cone-shaped beads.

Thin cylindrical piece of wood that has a recessed area and a knob at one end and a metal loop with beads strung onto it at the other end. White thread is wound around recessed area. Inlaid metal decoration in four plain bands and one band with two barbs go around centre of bobbin. The beads vary in size; the colours of the beads in order are: blue, clear, white with red flowers, blue, white with blue stripe, clear, and blue.
