A black headdress with a circular band and a long tail, decorated with shells, buttons, beads, and bells. The circular band has two rows of shells bordered with a thin metal chain and red oblong beads in pairs. Along the tail there are rows of clear buttons and small brass bells. There are also rows of five vertical strands of round red beads with two round white beads and two red oblong beads in the centre. About halfway down the tail there is a large brass ornament surrounded by a circle of clear buttons and round red beads. At the end of the tail there is a long black fringe with a large brass bell tied to the end of two fringe strands.

Shoulder SashB682

A wide fabric woven band. Main design consisting of multiple-layered red chevron lines on a dark blue background that has a cross-like shape of four cowrie shells or a large white circular button in between each section with a small white circular button above and below. Strands of natural light grey-yellow and dark red hair are attached along the bottom edge. Part-way through the ends of the band, they are stitched together with thread. Tassels are at the ends of the band.

Moccasins1060/71 a-b

Pair of child’s moccasins with central eagle design and geometric patterns beaded over the toe. Done in light blue, dark blue, red and yellow. Moccasins are white with an extended, overturned brown rim, and a long, narrow tongue with a lace on either side of it.

Thick band of alternating blue and wide beads. Rim of band is decorated with double row of light pink beads and is strung together with brown fibre cording. One section of the band has alternating rows of green and blue beads. Brown fibre cording connects the ends of the band together.

Necklace1590/95

Long necklace consisting of 112 small, white, porcelain Iroquois/Seneca trade beads, from which is suspended a gorget. The gorget, silver-plated on brass, is engraved with tomahawk, peace pipe and snake, and has an engraved border. From the gorget is suspended a Lorraine Cross, silver- plated on brass, which has square ends and is engraved with decorative patterns and borders. Between the gorget and cross are two rows of three beads; two larger white porcelain beads with a brown seed bead in the middle.
