Apron1176/8 d

Gold-coloured apron made from a thick, stiff material. Front section has three separate v-shaped panels, one within the other. Pointed petal design with intricate, scrolling cutwork; red cotton backing shows through cut-outs. Two side panels are scroll-shaped. All pieces have circular and drop-shaped mirror insets. Side pieces and two lower front pieces are fringed along the outer edge with black hair. Apron is secured at the back with long string ties.

Brown and yellow coloured oval-shaped spectacles (part a) with scalloped bridge. Side pieces fold in at a halfway mark and fold in again in order to lay flush up against the spectacles. Blue coloured spectacle case (part b) is oblong in shape. In between the lid and case are two thick pieces of black ribbon. On one side of the case there are embroidered flowers(?) and a bird(?) below the lid and an unrecognizable design above the lid. On the other side of the case, there are embroidered characters below the lid and a flower(?) design above the lid. The top of the lid has a looped tassel with a glass bead, while on the bottom of the case there is a long looped cord with a bead and two staggered tassels.

Bag1260/2

Long beaded bag with three distinct sections of coloured beads. From the bottom and moving upwards towards the opening of the bag, there is a single row of alternating pink and blue beads. Next, are two rows of widely woven light green beads, three rows of widely woven blue beads, four rows of widely woven green beads and edged with one small row of blue beads, and five rows of widely woven red beads. Beaded sections are woven into an X formation and have groups of white beads separating each strand. The top of the bag has gathered fibre strands that are secured with a large blue coloured bead.

Two hangings (part a-b) with multiple panels. There are three solid panels interspaced with openwork panels. The solid panels are green with butterfly, floral motif; cream with a fruit motif; and blue with dragon, phoenix, sun motifs. The openwork panels are shaped as bat and coin; fruit; and cloud with an endless knot motif. There are beads between the solid and openwork panels. Hanging from the bottom is a green tassel. The back is lined with purple silk damask with a floral and scroll motif.
