White vase, lozenge-shaped in cross-section, with elaborate polychrome designs on the sides. Panels in the centre of each side--which alternate between elaborate red linear and blue floral backgrounds--feature flowers, birds, and landscape scenes. Part b is a lozenge-shaped wooden stand with four feet.

Shallow plate with interior decorations in high relief of a turtle and four lizards in greenery. Two lizards and the turtle are brown; the largest lizard has a green with yellow body and a brown tail; last lizard is yellow with blue on back and tail. Underside is glazed brown and has a raised foot ring with an incised number 9, or 6, inside it.. Foot ring has two holes in it, through which a loop of rough cord is knotted.

Small salt-glazed jug with handle on side. Jug has a circular opening with a pouring lip that extends out from side opposite loop handle. Exterior of jug is slightly ridged; more pronounced across interior. Opening of jug curves inward slightly to globular centre; centre rounds out into a cylindrical body with a flat foot. Jug is light grey with a light blue band around middle; dark brown speckles and lighter brown coating across exterior. Square filled with diagonal zigzags stamped into blue band, underneath pouring lip. Artist pottery studio mark, a slug, stamped along bottom edge of jug, underneath handle; "R6" inscribed on base, below artist mark.

Wine Jug3653/1 a-b

Small ceramic wine jug (part a) with a handle on one side, and a stopper-style lid (part b). Jug has a circular opening with edges that curl inward slightly; spout with similarly curled edges protrudes from front of opening. Opening extends into a long slanted shoulder and a round body; body tapers slightly to circular base. Handle has an irregular rectangle-shape; top exterior corner has a sharp point. Glaze of jug is dark brown with large sections of dark blue; glaze lightens to green-grey around the opening and along exterior of handle. Lid has a small knob that tapers sharply to the circular lid; stopper is cylindrical and flares at the base. Knob is dark blue and rest of lid is dark brown; bottom edge of stopper is unglazed. Engraved into base: "Vernon B.C."

Commemoration mug. White cup is round, with partly tapered sides; flat base with a slight foot. On front centre is the Zambian flag with "ZAMBIA INDEPENDENCE DAY - 24th October 1964" curving underneath; flag done in colour, text in black. On back centre is a portrait inside an oval-shaped medallion; stippling throughout background. Smiling male figure has short hair, and is wearing a patterned wrap; done in black and white, with shading. "DR. KENNETH KAUNDA - THE FIRST PRESIDENT" is written underneath portrait; done in black. Base is undecorated and unsigned.
