Square floor tile with quatrefoil foliate design. Surface is glazed. Dark brown square and quatrefoil designs on a yellow-beige ground, and red-brown foliage spandrel in each corner. The quatrefoil has a blue and white cross at centre with a red-brown lozenge. On the back, there are 4 rows of 4 circular holes. Manufacturer’s mark, W. Godwin Lugwardine Hereford, moulded in relief on the reverse.

Square ceramic tile with black designs on yellow ground. Surface and sides are glazed. Four large floral designs, one in each corner, that connect to each other and to a smaller floral design at centre. All of the shapes are filled with a mixture of floral and curvilinear motifs. Grid on back of tile. Manufacturer’s mark, Minton Hollins Co Patent Tile Works Stoke on Trent, stamped in between ridges. Inscription on back.

Wine Jug3653/1 a-b

Small ceramic wine jug (part a) with a handle on one side, and a stopper-style lid (part b). Jug has a circular opening with edges that curl inward slightly; spout with similarly curled edges protrudes from front of opening. Opening extends into a long slanted shoulder and a round body; body tapers slightly to circular base. Handle has an irregular rectangle-shape; top exterior corner has a sharp point. Glaze of jug is dark brown with large sections of dark blue; glaze lightens to green-grey around the opening and along exterior of handle. Lid has a small knob that tapers sharply to the circular lid; stopper is cylindrical and flares at the base. Knob is dark blue and rest of lid is dark brown; bottom edge of stopper is unglazed. Engraved into base: "Vernon B.C."

Small round off-white dish painted with black and green design elements. Inside of dish has design of a bird-like creature holding a fish in its claw. The upper creature has a fin on its head and a wing and tail. Both have black outlines with black and green elements. Black circle painted in the centre; black and green painted around the top of rim, with seven sets of three unpainted lines. The base has the Lambert Potteries stamp and a hand-written inscription: Salish Spindle Whorl / Hand-painted / T.

Trans Mountain3585/1 a-e

Multi-piece ceramic sculpture of a black ship hull with a crushed can, twisted product tube, log, and pitted sphere bolted onto it (part a). The can and product tube are black; tube has a red cap. The log is grey and dark brown, and covered with a small black blanket; olive green sphere, representing COVID-19, is perched on top of blanket. Additional components rest on the hull and sit around it; additional pieces are: small, crushed olive green can (part b), small, crushed black can (part c), grey pitted COVID-19 sphere (part d), and a dark brown flower with a wilted stem (part e). Ship hull, cans, and green sphere are glazed; rest of sculpture is painted.

Square ceramic tile with a tin glazed front and a small marketplace scene overtop; done in dark blue. Design consists of two male figures, facing one another. Both have wide-brimmed hats, tall boots, and loose shirts. The figure on the right has a front opening jacket; figure on left has a belted waist and is holding a large basket. Shadows of figures extend to right side of tile. Sides and back are undecorated.

Small foreflippers are wrapped around front of body; lines incised along bottom edges, imitating digits. Semi-circles incised along front bottom edge of figure, imitating hind flippers. Stoneware scene consisting of four walruses swimming amongst large blocks of ice; base is an irregular rectangle. All walruses are in front half of the scene; all are dark grey with black snouts. They have small eyes, frowning mouths and dots imprinted across their snouts. The two walruses closest to the right side have two white tusks; others are tusk-less. Base is unglazed; ice and surrounding water done in white with grey-green undertones. Unsigned.
