Tea Bowl529/12 b

Ceramic tea bowl, or cup, with a footed base and slightly flared rim. Inside and outside are covered in grey-brown and white floral and abstract designs in horizontal rows. The sides are concave; the base and the rim have a similar diameter; the narrow foot is unglazed, showing the orange colour of the clay.

Small, heavily glazed dark reddish brown clay pot. The rim flares out slightly from the neck, from which relief coils wind down to join a coil around the belly of the bulbous body with small flat base. Small punches into the clay form wavy lines that fill the upper area.

Tree of Life Sculpture2760/1

Tall, heavy, colourfully painted and glazed clay candelabra, or Tree of Life sculpture. Along the front of the central trunk, which is reinforced with a metal pole and set on a mound-like hollow base, are a female figure with a cross on her head, a palm frond, a bearded goat ,and two blue birds sit beside a flower below one of the three candle holders at the top. The looping branches down each side are festooned with orange, yellow, green, blue, pink and brown coloured decorative elements: birds on metal stilt legs, rabbits, flowers, potted plants, angels, and four bobbles that hang on metal hooks.

Tree of Life Sculpture2755/1

Tall, heavy, colourfully painted and glazed candelabra-like Tree of Life sculpture with three small cups and a circular mound base. At the base and top of the central trunk are birds on stilt-like legs while in the middle, a female figure wearing a polka dot skirt and crown with a cross. Multi-looped branches to each side are decorated with three dimensional figures, birds, flowers and plants painted yellow, orange, green, blue, black and brown.
