Wolf Pendant2776/1

Three-dimensional wolf head pendant carved from yew on a leather chain. Pendant has inlaid abalone squares around outside edge, and ovals as eyes and inlaid pieces around outer ear edges. Features around lips, inner ears and negative space of pendant are painted red. Copper cut-outs used as eyebrows, sides of nose, tongue, inner ears and claws of front feet. There are also very small circles of copper inlaid between the abalone along the edge. A fine braided leather chain with a gold clasp is attached through a gold fixture on the back of the pendant. Back has seven small holes, six of which contain copper rivets; artist signature Reid-'77.

Textile with a batik pattern and a dark brown fringe at both ends. The centre of the textile has a geometric pattern on purple ground and this is surrounded by a dark brown floral pattern with parallel lines at the ends, all on an orange ground. The long edges are finished with handmade gold thread edging.

Woman's black velvet tubular-shaped evening bag with drawstring closing. Bottom stiffened with heavy paper(?). Trimmed with a decorative braid worked in metallic gold thread, sequins and glass beads on animal skin(?). Nine brass rings on inside near top to accommodate a gold-coloured twisted cord drawstring.

Tool with a long handle that widens to a series of four raised bands in gold and tapers off again near the tool tip, which is composed of a small disc bent on a slight angle to the handle. There is a hole pierced through the handle shortly before the four raised bands.
