Fish with incised mouth and graphite applied to 'nostrils' and eye holes. Gills and pectoral fins are indicated on each side; dorsal fin at top behind head and other fins above and below tail. There are scratches or carving marks at fins and gills; some dirt in these areas. Fish is mounted on a polished brown section of walrus tusk.

Wooden spoon with elongated, leaf-shaped bowl and short handle. The bowl of the spoon has a rim on it. The handle is rectangular in shape with a square end. There are black striations on the wood, especially noticeable on the back of the spoon.

Spindle WhorlA17028 a-b

Wooden spindle whorl (parts a-b), consisting of a disc with central hole (a) and long wooden spindle (b). Raised lip around opening on convex ventral surface of whorl; dorsal surface is flat. Decorated on the convex surface with images, in pencil, of two whales and a human figure. One of the whales also has a small human figure depicted on its back. The spindle shaft narrows at each end, and one end is wider than the other.

Brown wood rattle consisting of two rounded pieces put together, each with a semi-cylindrical handle, creating a full rounded oval rattle nailed together on the handle. Along either sides of each piece, there is a hole to bind the two pieces together with white string and cedar bark fringes. Pieces are also bound together at the top with white string and cedar bark fringe. On one side, there are pencil sketches of ovoid designs.

Earthquake MaskA6357

Earthquake mask with movable eyebrows and lips and dark glassy eyes. The nostrils and cheeks are emphasized with curvilinear lines. The eyebrows and lips are controlled by cords that feed through to the reverse of the mask, where there is also a bent, movable wooden head strap. The mask is painted white with black eyebrows, green around the eyes, a vertical black band over the nose, black and red nostrils, red lips, green around the mouth, and black and red lines around the mouth and on the cheeks.

RattleA4028

Brown wood rattle consisting of two rounded pieces put together, each with a semi-cylindrical handle, creating a full rounded oval rattle. Along either sides of each piece, there are two holes to bind the two pieces together with white string. Pieces are also bound together at the top with white string. Handle is bound with brown string. Designs consisting of a face on both side, one carved and the other in pencil. The carved face has a circle in oval eye, a downward pointing triangular nose, and a horizontal double oval mouth from which three diagonal bands angle upward at either side. Eyebrows are pencilled in as are the split u's at either outer sides of the eyes. The pencilled face has tapering oval in double ovoid eyes with brows above, an oblong shape along the cheeks, and an open mouth with fourteen teeth and a tongue sticking out.
