Similar design on lid. Lid has black circular motif in center. Base: plaited origin and plain twining over wide warp strands. Sides are twisted twined work. Slightly indented flange around upper rim of basket holds lid in place.

Central decoration; slanted rectangular bands of purple with orange rectangles in each. Lid has similar pattern with central dot in orange and purple (center in phase, and outer portion out of phase). Basket: one cross stitch, and plain twining (over several warp strands). Sides and lid: twisted twined work.

Lid: orange border and same central band as basket, with inner strip of turquoise at origin. Base: centre is plaited; plain twined weaving (over several warp strands). Sides: twisted twined work. Lid has flange to hold it in place.

Series of reeds lashed together with braided grass in three places, one on each side and one series of stitching down the middle. Seeds are inside and make noise when object is moved.
