Small cylindrical woven basket with dome-shaped, fitted lid (part b). One side depicts a whale with jaws open, chasing a canoe carrying two people; on the other side, the whale is swallowing them. Flying birds encircle a floral motif on the lid. Motifs are woven directly into the baskets with dyed grasses; inside this basket, protected from the light, the colours remain vibrant: pink, purple, red, orange, and green.

Bull Mask2736/2

Round, two-part, red and white painted bull mask with natural horns and cow hide at top has foam lining attached with nails. Green bottle glass eyes surrounded with painted white cow hide stare upwards and there is a long rectangular opening below the chin. Several lengths of green synthetic rope are wound and bound around the neck joins, others emerge from inside through nostrils and holes in the head, one of which has a fibre bundle toggle at the end.

Shark Headdress2736/5

Hammerhead shark headdress consisting of curved crown-like wood head piece with small carved hammerhead shark facing forward from on top of a grass pompom with dangling red ribbons. Long strands of brown grass hang down in two thick bunches from grass pompoms at the base of the wood and a goat ? horn projects out to each side. Carved and painted designs in white, red and black decorate the wood on both sides and a grass rope head strap is knotted through a hole below the shark to form a head strap.

Bull Mask2736/3

Round, two-part, white, black and red painted bull mask with natural horns and cow hide at top has foam lining attached with nails. Green bottle glass eyes surrounded with cow hide (painted white in places) stare upwards, a piece of hair is attached at the backof the head between the ears, and there is a square opening below the chin. Several lengths of green synthetic rope are wound and bound around the neck joins, others emerge from inside through nostrils and holes in the head, ot one of which is attached a piece of lead, a stick and a grass bundle at the end.

Sawfish Headdress2736/9

Sawfish headdress, made of wood painted red, black and white, has protuding eyes and a long sawfish rostrum bound onto the top with string. Attached to the small base are three braided grass strands knotted together to fit over the head, six long grass pleats that hang down like hair and a black grass fringe. A cushioning ring of black cloth is attached with string to base.

Shark Headdress2736/8

Realistic representation of shark head is painted white and black with carved black eyes and red gill lines. Worn with nose pointing upwards, the beard and the mout,h made up of the jaw and teeth of a shark, are therefore facing forward. The headdress has long strands of grass fibres hanging from the sides and a foam lining around the interior rim. The jaw is held in with nails and two strands of woven synthetic rope are knotted and pulled through holes in the wood.

Mask2735/4

Beaded red and black elephant mask. Two long panels of black cotton fibre with red bordering, red, white, blue and multi-colour bead decoration, and burlap backing are sewn together at one end to form a stocking face mask, with large eye openings and large round protruding ears, that pulls over the top of the head. Attached to the top is a large plate-shaped basketry headdress with white canvas covering the flat top and red and black textile on the sides and bottom. Several figures with beaded facial features are attached to top brim and slope down to bottom of cap.

Bis Pole2719/3

Tall bis pole of light coloured wood with carved figures and red, yellow and white pigment. Above the pointed base is a hollowed oval canoe or bowl shape topped with a head. Two standing female figures, with body and facial tattoos, wearing only belted thongs, face each other, one holding the other up by the knees and the other resting her chin on top of the first female's head adornment. Braided grass tassels hang from holes along the sides of the hollow oval and from the ears and neck of the figures; top figure has a woven white cotton tube bracelet around one wrist.

Bis Pole2719/2

Bis pole of light coloured wood with carved figures, painted with white and brown pigment. Above the weathered base is a hollowed oval red-striped canoe or bowl shape. A male and smaller female figure stand facing each other, she hugging his waist, he holding her arms at the elbows. Both figures have carved brown tattoos on their face and body, painted black hair, and they wear braided grass belts, necklaces, and earrings; a braided grass tassel also hangs from one of the eight holes along the sides of the bowl. A red seed is imbedded into one eye of the male, the other eyes have only remnant adhesive.
