Woven, coiled, rectangular basket. Sides taper down to a smaller base. Imbricated, horizontal designs on front, back and sides.

An open twined pattern basket with an overstitched rim. The body of the basket is covered in patterns of birds, ducks, whales, boats with figures in them, and a small animal (squirrel ?) in purple, red, green and pink. Bottom of basket has square of plain plaiting with two row twilling; top edge is twined.

Round vase with a star-shaped base formed froma single coil. Exterior is decorated with vertical stripes in light brown alternating with brown and dark brown.

Oval shaped openwork coiled cedar root basket. Parallel wood slat base construction. Walls of basket are made with two slats followed by an openwork area then two more slats, with two openwork areas overall. The rim is decorated with entwined loopwork. The slats are decorated with rows of beading in canary grass, red and black dyed cherry bark.

Roughly rectangular wooden shield with points at both ends and a raised ridge down the centre. Bands of bamboo (?) laid horizontally across the shield at the top and bottom, held in place with zigzagging stitched of dark brown rattan (?); bands continue on reverse. Edges of shield are painted black; centre is painted red-brown. wooden handle on reverse.

Small lidded woven basket. Basket has a whalers design including two whales and whalers in a boat. Purple band encircles bottom of basket and interrupted lines of purple and green encircle top. The lid is peaked and encircled with bands of a brown, purple and green leaf-like pattern. Dark pink from top to bottom.

Small woven basket with lid. Basket has design of three whales encircling it and green band below design. Lid is peaked with bands of black and green encircling it.

Ovular basket with tall walls and a handle on each long side; rim is braided. Exterior is decorated with intertwined brown and dark brown step patterns; an animal is inside each peak and valley formed by the steps.

Twined, woven basket with round base, flaring up to a scalloped rim. Single yellow band around rim. Body has six rows, alternating between a four or three stitch and a space. Stitching is only halfway through on the outside, called a "false embroidery".

Nuu-chah-nulth basket with lid, fine weave. Lid has small brown knob on top. Both body and lid have two bird figures and two other designs on them (basket: birds ?; lid: plants ?). Orange and brownish-purple bands encircle the basket and lid above and below the designs. Thin bands of red and dark purple on bottom edge. Bottom has square weave design in centre, which may be made of root material.
