The point has seven sets of four small barbs; three sets of four increasingly longer barbs; and four sets of four small barbs. The point is decorated with a grass sleeve with yellow diagonal line pattern on a red background, a carved band that is emphasized with white pigment and that consists of two figures (each of which has eyes, and a double upward pointing nose), and a fibre tuft. Below, there is another red and yellow grass sleeve that has a horizontal zig zag pattern. Red and yellow plant fibre coiling are at either ends of the grass sleeves. The dark brown wood shaft is plain and tapers at the end.

Tapa Cloth2623/49

The cloth is natural coloured and rectangular, decorated with four panels and one side fringe. The repeated motif in each of the four bordered panels is made up of brownish-red lines outlined in black. The motif features long zigzag lines in different formations. Two lines put together form a chain with diamond-shaped openings. One line put along a border creates a row of triangles. One side of the cloth has been repeatedly cut, creating a thick cloth fringe. The cloth is painted on one side.

Sake ContainerN2.335 a-b

Sake container. Cylindrical and slightly tapered from top to bottom, with a metal handle on the side. The container's staves are held together with twisted bands of bamboo, two at the top and three at the bottom, and lid has a plugged opening. A stopper (part b), also a tapered cylinder, fits into a hole in the top of the container near the edge. The top of the container is red lacquer with a black lacquer edge, and the sides as well as the bamboo are stained reddish-brown and coated in varnish.

The tapa cloth is natural in colour with designs painted in reddish-brown and gray. The thick brown lines are painted in wavy and v-like patterns and cover the width of the cloth. All brown lines are outlined in gray and then surrounded with dotted lines. The lines are painted on only one side of the cloth but much of the brown lines have soaked through to the other side.
