Woven shield with a wider end that tapers to a narrower end; at each end, the sides curve inwards and come to a point; plant fibre border around edge (missing on half of the shield). Front of shield is composed of two layers of cane that are lashed together with rattan with a geometric design at both ends in dark grey. Back of shield has bundle of leaves? that have been folded under the handle and lengthwise.

Tapa Cloth2533/4

Rectangular-shaped tapa cloth covered with repeating geometric designs. Single-line border encloses three lengthwise rows of six repeating patterns, all in black and ochre. One row is diamonds, the second has circular designs, the last has a design of overlapping four-pointed stars. Each repeating pattern is in a square with symmetrical quadrants.

Small oblong, double-layered, painted tapa. Reddish-brown geometric/leaf design which fills a rectangular area, leaving an irregular undecorated border around the edges. It appears there are two identically-patterned tapas attached together in the layers.

Necklace2514/6

The object is a woven necklace. The top part consists of a chain of connected circles. From the mid-point of the chain, there is a single, woven strand. On this string, there are 7 pieces of wood (bamboo?) alternating with 6 chains of connected circles made of fibre. At the end of one of these chains, there is a nut casing attached via a fibre string. Also on the single strand, there is a dark brown fibre attached and knotted.
