The bark is folded in on both ends and sewn down with plant fibre, creating a bowl-like shape with a flap bottom and curved sides. The sewn fibre continues around the entire rim, visible on the inside and outside. A light-coloured wooden stick is lashed across the top of the bailer.

Coil and slat, round basketry tray with two handles. Beading design around outer edge, alternating between red and black bark. Rim coiled near handles and wrapped otherwise. Four chevron designs on inside of tray, in black and red bark with yellow-white grass, surrounded by a vertical pattern in red and black.

Pattern BasketNb11.377

An open twined pattern basket with an overstitched rim. The body of the basket is covered in patterns of birds, ducks, whales, boats with figures in them, and a small animal (squirrel ?) in purple, red, green and pink. Bottom of basket has square of plain plaiting with two row twilling; top edge is twined.

Oval shaped openwork coiled cedar root basket. Parallel wood slat base construction. Walls of basket are made with two slats followed by an openwork area then two more slats, with two openwork areas overall. The rim is decorated with entwined loopwork. The slats are decorated with rows of beading in canary grass, red and black dyed cherry bark.
