Two curved tusks tied together at one end with brown fibre cording. Tusks are hollow and taper to a point. The other end of each tusk is wrapped with a band of reddish-brown woven grass(?). The overall colour of the tusks is white, yellow, and brown.

Conical basket with horse hair attached to the outside. Basket is decorated with light brown and brown-red designs near the top and bottom outer edges. Large handle(?) with grass(?) cording stretched across the bottom forming an X-shape. Two large sections of horse hair are attached hortizontally with stitching to one side of basket. Top section of hair has a shorter section of red horse hair.

Cone-shaped hat with woven red and yellow stripes. Tuft of red horse(?) hair is attached to the top of the hat. Three curved tusks are attached to one side of the hat. The bottom portion of the hat is unpainted. The rim of the hat is woven of light brown coloured grass.

Oval coil basket (bifurcated stitches) with coiled handles attached to loops along top border. Elongated watch-spring construction. Imbricated design of four single rows of bands of red cherry bark, alternating with bands of cat-tail grass (?), dark and red cherry bark. Between rows of imbrication are rows of spacers between coil rows. Slightly raised bottom of basket.

Basketry Side TableA7253

Coiled basketry table constructed from cedar splints and unidentified wood foundation. Coiled cedar root elements and watch-spring construction of table top. Rim of table is finished with loopwork. Imbricated triangular designs on table top in red and black cherry bark with cat-tail. Legs are nailed on to table top. An overcast ring has been attached to the legs as a support structure. This ring or support has broken.
