Tapa cloth with two shades of brown on natural ground. In the centre are eight panels with diagonal lines containing letters. Flanking the centre panels are many blocks containing floral motifs. Both ends have short pairs of diagonal lines and numbers. The cloth is made of several large strips attached together.
An extremely long wood pole which tapers slightly. There is an hour-glass shaped wood handle. Bark is coiled around the pole.
Bentwood box, fastened with cedar bark at seam, with base (part a), lid (part b) and woven cedar pouch inside (part c). Outside edges of lid and base covered in red ochre; traces of ochre over entire outer surface. Two sides each have two small holes for handles of which only a small piece remains.
Large, oval, cedar root coiled basketry tray; raised sides and two upright rounded handles at either end. The beaded decoration consists of five coloured ovals; each oval is a double row, with alternating lines of red and light brown or black and light brown rectangles.
Coiled cedar root cradle with parallel wood slat base construction. Wide, rounded walls at proximal end and narrow, flat walls at distal end. Overcast rim is decorated with red beading. Intricate white beaded design around the proximal end which covers the four top slats with five rows of beading per slat. The white imbrication also covers almost one entire side of the cradle, and about one third of the other side. Red cherry bark designs, in arrow shapes, are on one side as well. The distal end is undecorated.
Tumbuan body mask/costume. Mask is composed of a conical basketry top with woven facial features near the top, which is finished with a lip that juts upwards and outwards to form a circle as viewed from the top. The top is painted in alternating white and orange vertical bands. The bottom of the mask is finished with a long fringe attached to a ring of bent branch.
A shadow puppet of a male (sheng or lead male type character, Emperor's court) (parts a-b) with a profile face in outline. Wearing clothing that is decorated in red, blue, and black with a crane(?) in a circle on the chest, and floral print on a natural-coloured background. Wire is coiled around the neck. There is an elaborate red, orange, and blue headdress (part c) that has two pompoms. Handles are made of bamboo grass. Joined in the shoulder, elbow, waist, hips, hands, and fingers with rivets.
Canoe hull has long, pointed bow and stern, creating sharp angle back up to top rim (gunwale). Black painted canvas over rib and slat wood frame. Nails along inner top gunwale, metal wire at each end. Bark and cloth lashings used on frame. Middle stabilizing bar (thwart), no seats.
Drum constructed from three tiers of five cross-sections of bamboo lashed together with strips of black rubber; tiers are laid horizontally, one on top of the other, with halved lengths of wood to separate them.
Large oval coiled basket (bifurcated stitches), with elongated watch-spring construction and over-cast stitched rim. Fully imbricated in grass with geometric stepped zig-zag pattern in bark, bottom row continuous, top row in open spaces of lower pattern. Single solid row of bark near rim.
