Basket1054/3

Ovular, coiled basket with tall straight sides. Top coil forms two arches on long sides to which a handle is attached. Exterior is decorated with dyed cherry bark in diamond designs at centre of each side and at ends.

Doll553/2 a-b

The doll (part a) has black thread hair tied in a bun at the top back of her head and is decorated with orange and pink, white, and blue, and yellow flowers with silvery metal dangling strips. She is wearing a red kimono-like dress embroidered with a gold floral pattern. Her obi belt which extends up the back and flows down has a black and red geometric design outlined with silver. She is wearing geta footwear designed wih red and gold flowers on a black background. She is standing on a flat rectangular wood base. The parasol (part b) is pink with white flowers and green and yellow leaves as the design.

Black, spherical object with large red seeds (?) pressed into it. From the bottom of the sphere are two cylindrical tubes wrapped together with a brown-yellow plant strip. Two long wooden sticks fit into the tubes.

Pair of arm bands for the lower arm shaped like cylinders tapering to the wrist. Arm bands are made of parallel lengths of bamboo with a circle of rubber inserted through holes in the bamboo lengths at each end, onto which are threaded bamboo cylinders that serve as spacers between the ends of the lengths of bamboo.

Pair of cylindrical openwork arm bands for the lower arm, tapering slightly to wrist. Arm bands are made of lengths of rattan parallel to the length of the arm interlaced diagonally in a very open weave, and ending in a double circle at each end covered in interlaced wrapping of smooth strips of a white material.
