Tall, black, rounded woven basket (part a) with a flat, fitted lid (part b). Bottom made of cut and stripped rattan fibre coiled in a tight weave forming a short round neck which enlarges into an unequal biconical shape, larger at the top than at the bottom. Two wire handles are below the neck and opposite each other; one is wrapped in rattan fibre while the other is not. Bamboo strip at indented base is broken. The lid is a shallow cylindrical shape with rattan fibre coiled into a tight weave. Black patina on surface.

Decorated with partial imbrication; four triangular shapes along rim in red and white, and black and white. There are also four triangular shapes near handle in red cherry bark, cat-tail grass and black-dyed cherry bark. Handle also has red and black cherry bark decoration. Colour: tan.

Rim is black, surface decorated with four tri-colour diamond shapes, and there are two rows of red at base of handle. There is also an alternating red and black stepped pattern on handle. Colour: tan.

Four sections of a repeating green and red root border on rim; green root has been laid over lighter sections. The birch bark body of the basket is bent and laced with root; rim is overcast; exterior of bark is to the outside.

Total imbrication which alternates red/black/white, so arranged as to give radiating bands of each coming out from centre. Colour: tan.

Brown birch bark basket with an oval-shaped top and a rectangular bottom. Bark is bent and laced into place with birch twine around the rim overcast with thin strips of root; decorative bands of alternating black and grey are featured at four points along the rim. Geometric and linear patterns are scratched onto the exterior sides, revealing a lighter shade of bark.

Clam basket with a base formed by thick reinforced cedar strips and sides formed by cross-warp openwork plaited weaving. The rim is one coil overcast stitch with a splint foundation.
