Shield is composed of two perpendicular layers of cane that are lashed together with rattan. One end is wider than the other, and at both ends the sides curve inwards and meet at a point. Handle on back.

Variation of "sun symbol" design, black on natural with two coiled rows of black on base and black braided border. Splint(?) foundation of grass with coiled elements of cottonwood or willow. Black elements are martynia.
