AMEC Analysis: Part: Finish Years (min): 1902 Years (max): 1913 Neck Finish: Crown Manufacture Method: Hand-made (finish only) Comments: The metal cap is still attached to the bottle. One green glass bottle fragment with intact neck and crown finish. Cap remains on neck. Two mold seams run up opposite sides, similar to an automatic machine-made bottle. Metal on cap is corroded. AMEC Analysis: Part: Whole Neck Finish: Lipping Tool Material: Aqua Glass Comments: This is a Chianti-style bottle that would have had a wicker base. The base is turned in a mold and the neck and finish are free-blown. One green glass beverage bottle with rounded bottom base that does not sit flat. Packer finish. Post bottom mold with concentric circles near center. Mold seams include: circular seam on bottom, two seams extending up both sides of bottle through the top of the finish, circular seam just below the collar. "R 108" embossed on lower side. One olive green bottle with round base and blob finish. Lack of mold seams and presence of horizontal lines on body indicative of turn in mold manufacture. Presence of blob finish with remnant of wire closure indicative of bottle containing carbonated beverage such as champagne, soda or mineral water. Dried substance present inside and outside of bottle. Remnant of previous sealing material, probably tin, and corroded metal on finish. A fragment of the metal seal detached during cataloging and was bagged and labeled. J. Dougherty 03/19/2010

Maker's Mark empressed on bottom: JL & Co LTD C 676 Outside surface has some texture, likely irregularity caused during manufacture. Scratches and impressions on outside of glass.
