Mask painted white with painted black hair and thick eyebrows as well as a moustache with curled ends. The nostrils and upper lip are painted red, and there is a red scalloped design at the sides of the face. The eyes are circular holes with an eye shape outlined in black, and there is cedar bark as well as black horse hair attached at the top of the head as well as horse hair attached below the nose and on the chin.

Echo mask. Mask has overhanging forehead that has a downward curve, sprigs of brown hair emerging from the top rear of the head, large ears at the sides of the head, a protruding angular brow and hooked nose, raised cheeks and a protruding chin. The mask is painted with light green patterns over dark green on the overhanging forehead, heavy black brows and sides of face, red ears, a black nose bridge with orange nostrils and lips, blue and orange protruding cheeks, a blue scalloped pattern on the sides of the jaw. The mask has eight interchangeable mouth pieces belonging to land creatures (a-h): a) mouthpiece with an open, orange beak-like mouth flanked by orange hands with green nails and a green and blue semicircular design on the back of each hand; b) mouthpiece with a hooked beak that is green with orange nostrils and edges and has a blue scalloped design covered in green lines at the edge; c) mouthpiece consisting of an elongated orange mouthwith a peak at the centre of both lips and a surrounding area of blue and green with green lines; d) mouthpiece consisting of a curved bill-like protrusion with holes in the sides and an open mouth recessed below the bill; e) mouthpiece consisting of a nose with tubular orange nostrils and a mouth with grey lips that are open to expose two rows of teeth, four in the front and six on each side; f) mouthpiece with protruding orange pursed lips and a surrounding area painted with orange, green and blue designs; g) mouthpiece consisting of a frog-like figure with black glass or plastic eyes, a green body, orange mouth and feet, and its legs joined at the sides; h) mouthpiece with recurved green nose, rounded red nostrils, blue and red cheeks with green crosses, a protruding lower lip, and an upper lip that is split in half by the end of the nose.

Headdress588/1

Black hat with a geometric shape of five exterior sides with two interior sides, forming a flat horizontal top. Top flares downward and outward and then angles back downward and inward for a downward point at either side, with the interior sides angling back upward and inward. There is a brass bar with openwork along the top. Dark hair is shaped into an oval where the head is supposed to fit.

Mask720/15 a-b

A long wood mask (part a) painted dark brown with black curvi-linear lines. The vertical oval eyes have protruding cylindrical pupils. There is a ridge all the way down the middle of the face, extending to the long rounded curved nose that touches the bottom of the mask. The nose has a tusk curving upward at either side and is decorated with shells. There is an angular protrusion at the bottom of the mask. There are seeds and cowrie shells decorating the outer contours of the mask. The top of the mask has dark brown curly hair. There are some fragments in a small box (part b).

A long rectangular textile piece sewn together in the middle. At one end, there are two small rectangular pieces attached, leaving an opening. On the inner corner of the rectangular pieces and inner corner of the opening, there are tiny loops. On the opposite side of the opening, there are forty-three long deep red tassels on plaited ropes, some of which are singular while others are paired. Along the borders, there are tiny ornage, blue, beige, and red tassels. The background is beige and is made of cotton and hair. The pile design, which stands above the surface, is consisting of red, orange, brown, green navy blue, black, and white wool in a plant-like design on the lower portion with a dot-like design on the upper portion.

Length of tan-coloured braided horse hair with six large, spherical blue beads. The braided cord has half-square knots (spiral) and square knots (flat). The cord is single strand until two beaded joins where it splits into four. Two of the cords end in a thick tuft of bristle. The other end varies from double strands, to single strand at the beadsand ends in a tied loop.

Socks701/2 a-b

A pair (parts a-b) of man’s long tubular heel-less wool socks decorated with multi-coloured designs. The interlooped fabric is very strong, and dense, and it has almost no stretch. The toes of the socks are embellished with brown chevron designs on an off-white ground. From the ankle to the knee, there are bands of stylized floral, and abstract shapes worked in green, purple, red, orange, and pink, some on a brown background while some on an off-white background. The tops are finished with a band of looped yarn and tassels made from twisted yarn. The two socks are identical in size, colour, and design.

Doll1057/8

The body of a doll (see record for 1057/14 for the doll head shown in image). The skin is painted pink. Doll wears a yellow robe that has an elaborately embroidered lower front panel design consisting of a red and green dragon. The sleeves are embroidered with a red and green dragon along the back of each. The back panel has a simple embroidered design. The upper front panel is purple embroidered with a floral pattern and edged with grey fur. The shoes are made of purple fabric. There is a wide circular blue belt decorated with mirrors that have a gold-coloured outline.
