Bound white paper book with orange characters and an orange drawing of a rooster on the cover; book is composed of colour plates showing various drawings by Japanese school children.
Paper booklet bound with purple cord tied through two holes along the spine. Cover features images of two kimono-clad women, a figure carrying a bundle atop their head, and two kokeshi dolls; an image of a bird adorns the back cover. Title is given as: "Melodies of Japanese Folk Song". Published by The Nippon Times Ltd., Tokyo. Compiled by Ryutaro Hattori, translated by Iwao Matsuhara.
Pair of green and white women's shoes (parts a and b). Wide opening at the top. Fabric around opening is higher at the heel than at the toe. Large green pom-pom of gathered fibre threads are attached to the toe. A thick green band is wrapped around the lower portion of the shoe and is embellished by scrolled designs made with silver and white sequin beads. Fibre cording is looped through an opening at the top of the shoe to be wrapped around the ankle. On the inside of each shoe, there are handwritten Chinese characters in blue.

The back cover is red with black Chinese characters, and the spine is metallic green and gold with red and gold Chinese characters bordered with metallic red on either side. The book is bound with red fibre string, and the pages of the book are beige paper with text and images printed in black ink.

Paper offering consisting of multicoloured tissue paper printed with images and Chinese text, and metallic paper with a wavy edge and a pattern formed from by small crescent-shaped cuts in the the paper. All of the pieces of paper have been folded and bundled together with a metal paperclip.
Cream-coloured box-like folder (part a) made of card stock with gold embossing on the spine: "HANDMADE PAPERS OF THE WORLD 1: China--8: Madagascar TAKEO CO., LTD." Folder is filled with large samples of handmade paper from around the world (parts c-ggg); information concerning the originating country, name of paper, materials used, name of paper manufacturer, size in millimeters, and number within the overall paper collection is printed in black ink at the bottom of each sample. Finer, more fragile samples are enclosed in stiff paper folders with circular windows cut into the front and back; information printed along the bottom of the paper sample is repeated along the bottom front edge of the folders. Part b is an index listing all the paper samples in order according to their numeric designation.
Paper offering composed of a piece of off-white paper with an image depicting a four-legged spotted animal, a bearded male figure with a staff, plant and geometric motifs as well as Chinese characters inside a border of stylized flowers with a scroll at the top that is divided in three, each cell containing a Chinese character, all superimposed over a square of foil that has been painted (?) over with orange to make it appear gold. The central piece of paper is flanked by two pieces of rectangular beige paper, and all three pieces are folded over a piece of brown paper. Slight overall dish shape.
