Pair of light brown leather sandals (part a-b). The sandals are made of two leather pieces, held together with a nail and a long, thin ankle and toe strap. The toe strap is knotted on the underside; the ankle strap is threaded through flaps on the sides. Some blue ink outlining marks are still visible.

Pair of red, green and brown leather sandals (part a-b). The sandals have a full back and front with an open toe, in red with green stripes. A thin leather thong is threaded through the sides and tongue to secure the sandal to foot. The sandals are have black rubber tire soles and are held together with metal nails.

Prayer WheelEe4.63 a-d

Tibetan payer wheel with wooden handle and metal pin (part a). A metal and jade wheel (part b) with two tiers of inlaid glass sits over the pin, with a ball and chain that hangs to one side. Inside the wheel is a rolled paper (part d) with writing on it. At the top of the prayer wheel sits a metal conical top (part c) with metal decorations and two tiers of inlaid glass.

Sharpening File1779/29

Half-round milled tooth file, with grooves on both the round and the flat side. The handle narrows to a square tip, and has a maker's mark stamped into it; 'NICHOLSON U.S.A.' 'Made in U.S.A. SUPERIOR STANDARD'. Near the maker's mark is a hand-written five point star of blue ink.

Bent Knife1779/14

Double-sided curved knife with long wooden handle. The blade is attached to the handle by a cord that is wrapped around handle. The end of the handle has been shaved down and angled at the bottom into a wedge. There is a mark, 'GD' carved into the back of the handle and also drawn in blue ink on the bottom front of the handle.
